With todays building report ASSUMING today's spin count is correct and after copious amounts of calculations and cross checking this is a table of daily spin counts in POP. The reason assuming is in capital letters is you will see that since today's building chart shows a +2 over last Sunday but the mediabase report shows a -1 so the building chart is obviously wrong on one or both of those numbers. When cross checking between sources I always go with the Mediabase numbers over the building chart. I will continue to cross check but right now I am confident that the week end totals are correct and all of the individual days except Sunday & Monday are correct. The combined figures for the Sun & Mon numbers are cross checked week to week but the actual individual day numbers may need to be tweaked as this next week of mediabase numbers come in. If we get solid numbers every day this week then all the back calculations will be able to be confirmed. Now my head is exploding so I'm taking a break for a bit.
Week Sun Mon Tues Wed Thur Fri Sat Ending 11/21 11/28 81 80 89 98 108 112 94 662 12/05 91 91 104 126 111 102 111 736 12/12 107 113 136 124 134 123 112 849 12/19 108 125 137 147 144 127 129 917 12/26 123 142 147 150 140 111 125 938 1/2 122

"Negative bullet" They most certainly can! It has to be a song that was once within Top 40 and has since dropped below 40 with a "negative bullet" 2 Sundays in a row. That is how Fetty and X Amb qualify. A song can have negative bullets and still be gaining spins. But maybe this is the semantics issue we have with bullet and bullet+. I'm thinking your bullet is what Mediabase calls "move"? No it can have a negative bullet+ figure on the daily update as that only shows the change from one day to the next but for purges they are only looking at the 7-day totals so if it gains spins over the previous 7-day period that can't be a negative bullet(move). It can gain spins on some of the days during the week but purges only looks at the end of week totals so fluctuations during the week are meaningless in terms of a purge. We had this discussion before and the confusion happens because in the daily updates we just label it bullet when in actuality that figure is the bullet +. If you look at Kworb's charts he provides both. If it will help stem the confusion I could change the daily update to actually say bullet+ but when others copy over from Pulse or elsewhere it would still just be labeled bullet. The number that matters for purges is the column labeled Move on mediabase which is the actual correct term. Remember that the phrase "negative bullet" even though commonly used is technically incorrect because the move is only a bullet when it is positive. The term bullet actually initially referred to the symbol printed on the chart showing a song with an increase in spins. If you look at the All Access site, that little up arrow which translates to "Up this week" when you copy paste is technically the "bullet" which simply indicates that the "Move" is positive. When a song's move is negative that symbol is not present.

I'm thinking your bullet is what Mediabase calls "move"? This is the "bullet'/"Move" that matters and the one mediabase uses. www.allaccess.com/mediabase/q/report/sevenDay/format/H1/panel/R/detail/C/reportType/RAlso, seen on Pulse and Kqorb as the bullet www.allaccess.com/mediabase/q/report/sevenDay/format/H1/panel/R/detail/C/reportType/RALN has not had a negative yet, so even it had been in top 40 already, it would not be in danger of being purged. ETA: Rihannsu was posting while I was typing. We both just said the same thing about the bullets that count!

So if I am understanding you correctly, Adam has "5" today for the move/bullet on Mediabase/Kworb respectively. Am I looking at the right number? And you are saying that the "move" number for ALN has been consistently positive even though there can be a negative spin showing on the daily chart or even the published chart. Maybe I now understand this. Two weeks of negative "move" numbers can trigger a purge for a song that was in the top 40. How am I doing?

Yes! One last question (well, how likely is that?) If a song is in the top 10 with ginormous numbers of spins and it has a negative move for two published reports, is it also purged? Or, like recurrents, does it have to be out of the top 10?

A song has to drop below 40 to get purged.
