but probably for him, the demi tour was a better scenario. otherwise, he never would have signed up for it in the first place. I can be happy for adam that plan b seems to be working out, but I will never feel that this is how he wanted things to unfold. the major factor is that many more new ears would have heard adam sing his own music. now, he's playing to a lot of existing fans on this tour. on the qal tour, he may gain fans of his voice but they don't translate into fans of his music in any measurable quantity I have to agree. Adam needs to be heard by more people that we know would love and appreciate him! More fans, more exposure, all great imho! Which is why I wrote "For me....." For Adam and his career trajectory plan A might have been better. For me, smaller venues, his own style and staging and timing, etc.... and not having to deal with Demi fans or watch Demi perform is infinitely better. FOR ME.

I'll take those. Could I have them as earrings as well, please? They're yours! And of course you can! I mean, Adam has a jacket full of glittery blue things, so you should at least have earrings. I still have the black and white striped lollies and the two toned cherry blossom ones, btw. Any takers? Dank je...

Today is both a very exciting day and a very sad day for me. And the sad part of my day, the youngest daughter of one of my closest friends died this morning. She was just 29 years old. My friend, S, is the one who introduced me to Adam. Another friend and I used to watch Dancing With the Stars at S's house every week. One week they told me that I had to see this guy on Idol. Then S played Adam's Satisfaction performance from that week's Idol show. I was hooked and then we had two shows to watch every week. S and I also attended 2 GNT concerts together. She is not OTT like me (rarely online at all) and depends on me to feed her the latest news about Adam. And the daughter, K, was also my friend. She had a very big heart for cats and was the one who rescued my 2 orange tabby brother and sister kittens, Tiger & Lily, almost 8 years ago. Tiger (see my icon) died 2.5 years ago and I now have a new silver tabby cat who had already been named Tiger. It haunts me that K and orange Tiger died from somewhat similar issues. Sorry to hear this, DancyGeorgia, very sad news..

I can be happy for adam that plan b seems to be working out, but I will never feel that this is how he wanted things to unfold. the major factor is that many more new ears would have heard adam sing his own music. now, he's playing to a lot of existing fans on this tour. on the qal tour, he may gain fans of his voice but they don't translate into fans of his music in any measurable quantity Since it came up (again) . . . Adam fronting for Queen is an amazing opportunity. Queen is fabulous. But Demi is a relevant part of contemporary pop music world, all over US Top 40 radio, singing on "New Year's Rockin Eve, "etc. We'll never know what the Demi deal was going to be exactly, why it fell through, what those tour dates could have done for Adam's relationship with US radio/TV, for his album, his associations, or his career. For me, what Adam wants is the best scenario.
To put it bluntly, I think Adam simply isn't A-list enough. I know we all love him to death, but he is not in the top-most echelon along with Demi, Nick J., etc. Talent-wise, Adam is there, but not the status. His inclusion on Demi's tour would have been priceless. I think he would have gained new fans. And he would have gained immense credibility with the pubic seeing that Demi chose him to tour with her. I'm glad his TOH tour is off to a good start, and of course, he has Queen in his pocket. But he needs to gain new ADAM fans, beyond his loyal existing fans and beyond the long-time Queen fans. That's his biggest challenge. He need high-profile gigs that MAKE THE MAINSTREAM NEWS AND TV and expose him to those who haven't even thought about him in years and maybe still think of him on the AMAs. He's an incredibly hard worker, doing all he can to spread himself around. Hope WB can get him some good pre-tour media promo in the US. The US is his hardest market.
