I think this time around we cannot expect to always get high notes on TOH concerts. Adam already said that he has learned how to control himself and not always do high notes on every song or performance. He will do it sparsely. I think it's a good thing. On another note, I LOVE.. LOVE his lower register in After Hours... very very sexy. I haven't listened for the high notes in quite a while as I very much prefer Adam's more nuanced, controlled, and at times softer tones in his voice, and if he treats us to occasional vocal acrobatics it feels like a real treat to me. The slightly more "toned down" vocal approach certainly doesn't make him any less captivating for me. On the contrary. I see a more mature Adam who is in command of the stage and his talents, and who has a clear awareness of his appeal. I don't miss the really high notes either. Plus I'm glad he's taking care of his voice.

I I guess I am a person who took the tweeter's comment literally. I have never heard the phrase "hit every note" used in the context you mentioned: great dinner or movie, etc. I have only heard it used in its literal sense--maybe that's because music is my profession. So the tweeter may have just meant Adam was amazing, as you mentioned. And, yes, hitting every note is only part of an excellent performance. Even Taylor Swift can sing every note when not lip synching--she just hits some of them kinda out of tune. 8-) I have never seen Taylor Swift live but somehow I just don't think she can hit every note in her songs. It is impossible to tell any more because there are so many tricks -- for example, some singers are using mikes that auto-correct vocals. To me Adam has something more going on vocally then just hitting notes -- it is something about the way he sings that gets me. I will never be able to explain it and I have learned it is not that way for everyone. Perhaps it is like truffles -- to me they are amazing while others do not know what the big deal is and 40% of people smell rotten wood or sweat!! About truffles: Almost 25% of the population don't feel the smell of androstenone - the chemical that contributes to the truffle musk aroma (and drives female pigs sexually ecstatic). Another 40% of people are extremely sensitive to androstenone: they say it smells like rotten wood or sweat. The rest of the population likes its scent. After years of taking people to Adam concerts, I have concluded the sensory response to his voice must be very different for some people. This Taylor Swift performance got a certain amount of negative attention--obviously live. I've got it set to start where she sings with Stevie Nicks.

Well that was really fun. He didn't sing the Fever 'high note phrase' at all, just played with Terrance then Holly then the audience. Playful and joyous, I loved it.

Thank you for your kind words ... ... AnnAdoresAdam, Holst, skaschep, theosgma, saraswati, SophieB, adamrocks and butterfly! BTW, for everyone who didn't understand much, here is a little summary of my conversation with the moderator! After I told him the correct answer, the moderator asked me if it was difficult for me to find out who the celebrity was and I replied that I immediately recognized the voice because I'm already a huge fan of Adam for six years now! He was impressed and said "Wow, then you must have already been a fan since Adam "won" (LOL!!!) the casting show!" and I said "Yes!" and told him that Adam was already on tour in 2010 and also in Germany at that time and that I already saw Adam live several times in the last years! Besides I mentioned that I'm totally happy because I'm going to see Adam live four times this year! After that the moderator thought that I was a "mega-groupie" and I agreed, haha!!! Then we wished each other a "nice Sunday" and said goodbye! YAY Betty! Do you think the moderator would be surprised at how many "mega-groupies" Adam has? Haha, happy, yes, I think this moderator would be really surprised at how many huge fans Adam has worldwide and also about how loyal the Glamberts are to Adam since many years now! We saw it last year, when we waited with a group of about 15 fans in front of N-Joy Radio in Hamburg the whole morning, to get a glimpse of Adam when he was leaving the radio-station. The moderators and other employees of N-Joy that day were really astonished that … 1. … Adam has indeed fans in Germany 2. … we were not a bunch of screaming hysterical 15-year-old girls but instead all "normal", friendly and well-behaved people and although we didn’t know each other we became immediately friends 3. … we waited so patiently for several hours in front of the building although they told us the whole time that Adam wouldn’t have enough time to stop and talk to us. But we didn’t give up and we were rewarded because the next surprise (not only for us but also for them!) was, that Adam wanted to stop and talk to us despite his busy schedule! I really saw the astonished look in the faces of the N-Joy employees about how good and somehow “familiar” the relationship was between Adam and us! Some of them even came out of the building afterwards to ask who that celebrity was that we waited for all those hours, and they were impressed about Adam and us Glamberts when we told them a little bit more about him and us! They all promised to check him out in the internet! I think this little meeting really woke them up a little bit and they finally took him and us more seriously since that day at N-Joy Radio! I keep my fingers crossed that they don’t drop him again when "Ghost Town" drops out of the top 100 charts sometime in the next weeks, but continue to play that song and hopefully also a new single soon-ish! Unfortunately “Another Lonely Night” didn’t get anywhere here in Germany and they play it only once a week at N-Joy, every Saturday night! So, I think that it would be advantageous to get another single here in the next weeks! (Just my opinion: I really think that after GT as the first single, another dance-song like "The Light" or "Evil in the Night" would have been the better choice for a single at least here in Germany! A second great dance-song would have possibly kept the new gained dance-music fans interested in Adam and made them check out the album!)

That's a nice story, Betty -- except for the part that ALN did not make an impact. Same here. When I requested it the other day, the DJ said they're not playing that one. Sigh. GT was a big hit on my local station though. It's hard to figure out what songs make it. I hear lots of songs (not just Adam's) being introduced that go nowhere.
