So true. Anna and I were together with our daughters and we all had a blast! Stunning audience - so lively and sexy. The vibe was real (both Adam and the crowd's). Met up with Robin-in-NYC too. I can't stop smiling, I need to go to sleep for work tomorrow but I'm on too much of a high. EmooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooH! You were there!  |

I should've posted my recap here in the first place...bringing from March 4th thread: Finally I can sit down and do a short recap of my T5 experience: Over the years I've seen Adam live about 20 times or so... and for all these years the undisputed number ONE for me was the RMT show back in 2009! The energy and pure joy of that night has never been surpassed by Adam! Until last night! The crowd was HIS crowd - 98% young and from my vintage point - 70-80% male! Dancing and drinking and hugging and flailing and acting excited! The VIP area was huge - the whole left side of the 1st level balcony! I couldn't see how crowded it got though... We need feedback from someone who was on the opposite side of the balcony - or I need to read yesterday's thread - the info may be there... NYC CAME THROUGH for our boy! I found a great spot to stand - all the way in the back of the floor, left of the sound control center - it was elevated about a foot over the rest of the floor and had a rail to lean on. On my left was a chaperon father of a high school junior who was somewhere near the stage... He said his daughter adored Adam! He took her to the concert as a reward for her good grades - yay! It was not the first time and he knew Adam's songs - when MW started he asked me "this is not his song, right? Whose song is it?" :D On my right (until my own DD appeared) was an adorable young man, he and I bonded on the basis of both of us being vertically challenged - hence we both loved the spot we were at! He was very excited to be there "in the presence of Lambert"... My DD surprised me the most - she decided to come to her SECOND TOHT concert! and she was spot on identifying the songs that were missed at the New Brunswick show! so, after all the years of total indifference she is almost a fan now :D She was surprised that the space was not as packed as she's seen it for other artists (she is into EDM and is very familiar with Terminal 5) and as many of us here she is baffled as to why Adam is not playing arenas. She said it was "too much of a polished and expensive looking show" for Terminal 5 and also that the $50 ticket price is waaay too high and unusual for the venue... You all saw the videos - ADAM WAS FLYING HIIIIIIIIGH! He was so in tune with the "sexy" audience! He was so full of boundless energy! He was clearly in his happiest of places! IT WAS PURE MAGIC! I have only one picture from yesterday, taken by my DD. Like the RMT show this one will forever shine brightly in my heart!  I am still buzzing inside! And as a bonus - our lovely saraswati and I managed to meet for a few minutes!  Unfortunately I had to run but hope to get together for a chat soon! |
