I wonder if we well ever see Adam perform at the Amas again? I guess they gave Adam an opportunity to close a awards show. And some I hear say for someone so early in his career. To do that the industry lost trust in him. I don't know after seven odd years. I would like to think. The industry has moved on. But whens the last time he performed on a primetime U.S. award show? Ihr awards maybe. Amt Awards sort of. But nothing big since 09 Amas. I don't know well see what the future holds for Adam. May be Qal be big enough to do an Hbo special.

Maybe when he has a HUGE hit, or he sells a million copies of something. Money and popularity are the key to these award shows anymore, not necessarily having a great voice or a really cutting edge or artsy CD. It's a shame. Adam had a HUGE amount of press/publicity/buzz coming off of the AI show. Expectations for him were extremely high. The AMA performance lost him many fans, IMO. the network encouraged and promoted Adam's "racy" performance, only to distance themselves in the aftermath. Hard lesson for Adam.

But I.also think if.Adam sat their and did a ballad. With all.the other performances be lost in.the noise. It.also gained some fans he wouldent of gotten other wise. International attention..May have ended up Just another David Cook. Sizeable fanbase in the states. Nothing h huge. But what he did was break.away from the pack. The idol bubble. And become Adam Lambert. It sure lost him a ton of Us fans. And mainstream acceptance in the long term. But he ALSO got international fame really fast. He also got a grammy nom for Wwfm. So I dont think theirs too much of a prejudice within in the industry. But like you said maybe only a Huge hit song. Or he sells millions. Well that ever happen at this stage? I dunno. Rhps be a good start though. Could open some doors.

I am just crawling out of the rabbit hole, having watched all eight segments. I just love this guy - for so many reasons. And Michael is great, too. I glanced down at the comments and saw someone I would not have recognized back then: Tyler Oakley6 years ago NO JOKE, Strut SO makes my sidewalk a runway. SO TRUE. Thanks, Patti, for posting this. It reminds me again that Adam has been fabulous since DAY ONE!

I think the industry will quickly regain their "trust" if numbers match up It was really cool earlier this year that Adam performed at the Clive Davis Grammy party and that he was prominently featured in the group picture after.
