Aldous Huxley wrote: This passage (the rest of the piece is really worth reading also, IMO) reminds me all over again of the magic that Adam has for me. I don't have the technical understanding of music, which I feel limits my appreciation on that scale, but I know when someone's voice and rendition makes me feel. I believe in JLo's goosies, I get them also. When the human voice can move you to tears, when some music is so overpowering emotional that sometimes you can't even listen to it? That is awesome, that is primal, that is feels. And again, Adam "is that thing" as Paula put it. But Adam takes it further. The gift of his voice would be enough. Just that. He additionally intensifies it, tries to use it's universality to help us understand that we are all people, we all have hearts, we all want to be loved. The voice. The message. The feels. This song, this song, is the one that is so hard for me to listen to, and I think it is partly because of the acceptance, the absolute acceptance. and the Fantasy Springs version Don't feel bad about not knowing more about music to appreciate it. Sometimes I wish I could just listen to something without critiquing it the whole time in my head. It's how I listen. Every once in awhile I get swept up with a performance that I just listen to with emotion instead of intellectually, but it's not often. Even if I'm enjoying some music a lot, I'm still analyzing as it goes. Gotta agree with you on Broken Open. That used to send me to tears (only the album version, though). I used to have to make appointments with myself to listen to it with headphones on and just let the experience wash over me. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has to get into a comfortable place and turn this up full force. This song washes over me so deeply. I'm a musician so I know the feeling of the "mind" critique but not on this one. It's just raw emotion for me.

Yeah...kinda what I had pictured. Being referred to as "Honey" is not an Adam term of endearment IDT. You got it! From an incident in Japan....I'd add ' bitch' to that!! Perhaps it can be a term of endearment - but Adam was clearly (and justifiably, imho) irritated though he tried to pass it off as a joke, as he does - and the ladies knew it and were indignant. (No Atoppers involved!) They kept right on doing what they were doing though! I wasn't near them - I was hiding as usual - (it inhibits my fun to feel he can see me. S'okay - i know I'm weird)

BO is one of the best songs written by Adam... on every level... definitely the deepest one from FYE imo

On reflection, perhaps he was indeed calling Sandysva a Bitch, as she thought. :D j/k.... For the record....Sandy is neither "bitchy" or "unruly". I can be a tad of each...but wasn't IDT that nite. I have no idea what was going on in Adam's brain. We both noticed it was said in a quite firm/forceful way...so we were both taken aback.

There is no way that Adam would use the term "Bitch" towards you and Sandy without it being a term of endearment. You two are too endearing for it to be anything else. I'm sure of it. After all he dedicates Fat-Bottomed Girls to all his fat-ass bitches out there and I know that is an endearment because he would not be so rude as to make fun of fat asses. OK ... what song, what time
