It actually was not produced by Max Martin -- here is what Adam said: “I wanted to surprise my fans with a new, uplifting anthem for the spring. I asked Max Martin for help and he paired me up with two great writers and producers; Ali Payami, who worked with me on ‘Ghost Town,’ and Swedish star Laleh who is also a featured vocalist on the track. I feel this song will give people strength to be exactly who they are.” I have not seen full credit for this song -- we only have partial songwriter credits. So possible that Max Martin has a credit but no indication that he does. NOTE: I have been completely buried for over a week -- and could have missed the credits. Regarding what they are doing with this single -- it is indeed a bit odd. It is possible that Adam really just wanted a new song/single for Idol and his concerts. He can certainly afford to do it if he wants to. Perhaps it is a test single. One thing is clear, it is not being treated as a traditional radio promo single. Well, they have certainly made money from the single by selling the rights to use on the NCAA college basketball finals!!! I suspect the rights to use will be sold to other sporting events - it is the perfect song for this. I bet the potential income from this type of usage will be much higher than the net income of single purchase + streaming - radio promo costs. It may even be a more effective way to promote the song this way than on radio! Make it a big sports arena hit!!!! Q3, Any thoughts on this posibility? ETA - corrected NBA to NCAA. It was used for one game by CBS who has a contract with WB -- so no fortune was made on that -- but it probably covered all the expenses. As far as I can tell, there has not been a lot spent on this song. And if Shosh didn't confirm it was "the" single, I would just think it was there to give Adam something new and get a bit of streaming play. One way or the other -- seems to me that there is something more planned.

Just saw on the news that Tennessee is trying to pass the same "Bathroom" law that North Carolina passed. NO, NO, NO!!! Hope it doesn't pass!!! The courts are just going to strike these laws down, in the meantime, NC, MISS, and probably TN will loose a lot of Federal funding. Underway in NC already. Who will pay? Public school kids. It is just despicable!

ETA - I see geezlouise mentioned the play during the championship on TBS. This is what I was referring to. So used on 4 different networks already!!! And it's just the beginning I think!!!

The guy has worked himself to close to exhaustion...crossed hours of time change that left him losing a nights sleep (after a shoot that went through a night) and spends the day being interviewed all day...often in another language ... And you blame a poor picture on hair color and think he looks 50!! Seriously!? He is magnificent to still be ambulatory.... And we should all look so good! Yikes! maybe it's too late to respond but I

However, did anyone else actually watch this particular YouTube? Check out the "misheard" lyrics they used. Gave me chuckle.
