twitter.com/AttitudeMag/status/719601007928303616t.co/Tdy8Smtg1LQUEEN’S BRIAN MAY ON FREDDIE MERCURY BIOPIC: ‘SACHA BECAME AN ARSE’ Baron Cohen had previously blamed surviving members of Queen for rift over the film Brian May has lashed out at Sacha Baron Cohen, in his first comments over the Freddie Mercury biopic fall out. Baron Cohen was attached to the long awaited project for years, but exited it in 2015 after irreconcilable differences with the remaining Queen members. Speaking in March, he said they wanted to censor Freddie’s lifestyle, and make half of the film about the success of the band in the years since his death. Now, May has rejected these claims, saying Sacha became “an arse”. Speaking to the Mail on Sunday he said: “We had some nice times with Sacha kicking around ideas but he went off and told untruths about what happened. Why would he go away and say that we didn’t want to make a gritty film? Are we the kind of people who have ever ducked from the truth? I don’t think so.” Instead, May pointed to Baron Cohen’s lack of suitability for the role. “We decided he wasn’t right for the role for very good reasons, which will become apparent if you watch what he’s done recently,” – an apparent reference to his latest poorly received comedy film Grimsby. “It’s obvious that it wasn’t going to work, him playing Freddie,” he explained. “It wouldn’t suspend your disbelief. We’re hoping Ben Whishaw will do it. He’s fabulous – a real actor.” London Spy star Whishaw has been attached to the project since 2014 as a replacement for Baron Cohen. Playwright Peter Morgan had been signed on to write the script, but once commented that he didn’t think it would happen without Baron Cohen. It is assumed, however, that he is still involved. The only other comment May made on the subject was to say, “We have arrived at a great storyline. But the film’s not going out till it’s right.”

IMHO,The awards people might as well shut down their yawn fest shows and just sent the trophys out to the same singers every year..
To me, awards shows in general are getting awfully redundant. There are too many of them to begin with, so the importance of each award begins to feel kind of diluted. Same old, same old. And country music has really jumped the shark in the awards show department. There's a country music awards show on just about every two weeks. So much for being "special." Adam has the love and respect of millions of fans as well as the respect of legends in the music business. Maybe someday he'll have some metal statues to put on his mantle.
I am wondering why those televised "music events" have to be awards shows mostly. I think the general concept of musical entertainment via television is not a bad thing, but it gets frustrating if it's the same artists over and over.... and Adam is right in saying that the music industry feels a bit like "high school". More variety please! I know, again it comes to to numbers, viewership etc etc....

So the news from the British interview are 1. Adam never done it on a plane, but he did meet someone who was working on the plane and hooked up with him. Gives all flight attendants something to dream about... (or pilots). 2. He never got a tattoo he regretted. hmmm... 3. He's sent a dirty text to the wrong person. 4. He wants to sky dive. 5. He's usually the one paying on dates. We've all guessed as much, haven't we? As for the Russian VK interview - what is VK? It says on their page " VK is the largest European social network with more than 100 million active users", but I'm not familiar with that network. Anyone knows if these interviews get a lot of viewers?
