If July is "Preliminary Promotion" - but no "new music", do you think that maybe, just maybe, a new song may be "previewed" at the July 29th concert? I mean, that's 'almost' August - - -

Otherwise, what do you think he may perform on the 29th?

I'm sooooo curious!!!!!

But, I just have to mention that Borgata, AC was my third GNT. All of our ladies that had travelled to NY had now departed for home and that just left the lovely Nica, Mystic and myself to travel down to AC and which turned out to be the most hilarious train ride ever from NYC to AC. Such sweet memories for me and the bonus of sightseeing the US whilst I did it \o/

Now, when we got to AC, we had to get in touch with the talented Qoatg because she and I had organised via emails to share a room at the DC concert a couple of nights later, We eventually met each other and Newland21 (another great GNT photographer) in the line at the Borgata.

That was a 'great' line cos it was inside and frigging air conditioned. WIN/WIN!!!!

Two nights later in DC Qoatg and I, total strangers from the internet, who lived on opposite sides of the world and after a brief meeting in AC, got together again in a hotel room for the night..lol

Neither of us were worried, neither of us were concerned... we just came together in the 'spirit of Adam'. That transcended everything. ;D

Ok, need to go... RL one year down the track is just.... words fail me! I'm gonna need to go into semi lurkdom for a while from now on. Just too many issues to deal with right now - all of em BIG in their own right. Health issues (my radio therapy starts in 3 days), bank issues because of >>>> the landslip under my house and the Earthquake Commission of NZ who have just paid my neighbours and myself out short by $500,000K to fix our land issues, my Mum's house issues. Add car issues and the need to totally refinance my mortgage with another bank, so as to get away from my current ar#$%%hole one issues and I'm rapidly becoming a looney... well more so than normal Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrkkkkkkkkkkkkkk, am SO over it all! I want to sort all this crap out, so I can be ready for flailing and squeeing for #2. #bertingpriorities :

Will still check in and post from time to time, I will miss you all and my daily Atop fix, but gotta take care of stuff and this place is way too addictive.

Wow, Catz, I was going to whine about absence of NoAngel's insightful words this morning because RL hasn't been great, HOWEVER, as always, look right or left and someone has way more compelling problems. I am now giving thanks for minor inconveniences.

My thoughts and prayers will definitely be with you and I hope the financial things can be resolved to give you little more peace of mind with the medical issues. Just know you are being figuratively embraced by everyone here.

First of all Adam has nothing in common with Kelly except for the obvious -- they both are signed to RCA and they both came from Idol. Any album, like any movie or computer game or book can be pushed back. So yes, Adam's album could be pushed -- anything can be pushed. But RCA is pushing Adam to get his album, and wanted it in Spring 2011.

And there are always a lot of Pop diva releases. This sounds like a bit of a PR excuse. (Would be fun if they release Kelly and Adam in the same week. Just kidding they will not do that.)

For Kelly's album the push from September to October for the release sounds like a marketing adjustment -- RCA arranging their Fall releases so that they are timed to optimize resources and sales. It is a better time to release an album so all for the good for Kelly.

The push from Spring 2011 to September 2011 is the push that made me think this album may be a business challenge in some way. That does not mean it will not sell -- just that there may be a debate about what to do and some risk involved with the project.

Kelly's post on Facebook from last March 2011: "I recently found out that my album won't be coming out until September ....the album has been recorded but I can't release it until then," the original "American Idol" wrote March 15. "I realize that is a long time but that's the best time to release it apparently so I'm sorry for the wait but I promise you it sounds great!"


Kelly has had a very strained relationship with RCA since the beginning. And for her 5th album, there have ben issues for over a year --- long before the executive changes at RCA. Best info I can get is that Barry Weiss opted not to release it and left it for someone else to deal with. There are persistent rumors that Kelly was pushing to go more rock that RCA wanted -- and that is why they sent her back to the studio.

My experience is that most label decisions are about money. I do not follow Kelly closely enough to know what is happening but I believe that this is her 5th album and her last required album with RCA. (I may be wrong on that.) And if this is her last album, RCA could just be trying to maximize sales from their last Kelly studio album.

Whatever is going on with Kelly, there is nothing similar happening with other RCA artists.

Some artists test out there new songs when they are still working on them in front of audiences. Daughtry just did this.

Adam has never done this -- even pre-Idol. It would be completely out of character for Adam do preview a new Adam #2 song in Montreal, in a live concert. (He could surprise us. He's tricky.)

My bet is that promotion and rollout for Adam #2 will look a lot like FYE. We will first hear the music....

-- Recorded product, what he is selling, premiered on Z100 and/or Ryan Seacrest or some other big radio event. OR with a music video on MTV/VH1.

1. A big showcase TV performance of his new single.

2. Some follow-up TV performances.

3. Promotional live performances of the new songs between the single release and the start of the next tour -- at press-magnet events.

In Montreal I expect to see the FYE material and maybe a new cover song.

BUT whenever I think I have figured out what Adam will do, he fools me.
