Thank you gelly ....  I see the earring now but I think I can be excused from not noticing it in the Australian photo (the first one); other parts of that photo are pretty distracting. :  I was curious about twitter followers the other day and looked up rankings. Adam is only 361 so he has a long way to go. I didn't post because I did not want to be discouraging. Plus, human nature + trainwreck = irresistible. (Where's that Charlie Sheen express these days though? Oh yeah, I think in careened off a cliff ...) Yesterday I had one of those entertainment news shows on (lol, now I can't think of which one) while I was waiting for SYTYCD to start. And it had Kim K. palling around with Vera Wang, who is doing her custom wedding dress and it was so WTF. Here's someone who is the very definition of talent and hard work and this whole A-list crew is falling all over themselves for this broadcast wedding. IDGI. |

My only consolation is that she is the new Paris Hilton. Pretty rich girl, no discernible talent, reality show, fragrance, tried a singing career, etc etc...and you don't hear anything about Paris anymore. The media eats these kinda people up and then spits them out for the next one that comes along. So in a few years people will say "Kim Kardashian who?" What I don't get is why people eat it up. Say what you want about Gaga or Katy Perry or Kesha or even all those auto tuned male rapper guys...at least they have a talent and work at it instead of having enormous fame for no reason at all. MIDWIFS--I am pretty sure it's so much hate. I see it on ONTD all the time and they are the epitome of hating on everything, lol, so unless I am told different that's what I assume it is. |

There is no rhyme or reason to it, just the predictability. I'm going to step on some toes, I'm sure, including my sister's and two of my good friends', all very intelligent professional women, but I put all of the above in the same category as HOUSEWIVES of whatever friggin' city you want to choose. I'm sorry, but I don't understand people wanting to watch the selfish, self-centered bitching and sniping among a group of wealthy women. To me it's the equivalent of the WWF.
Americans, and perhaps others, love melodrama and "how the other half lives" so combine the two and you have a hit whether it is an individual or a TV show. JMO

I just wanted to share what happened to me today. I had to go get blood drawn and as I'm sitting in the chair waiting to get my arm pricked : I say to the nurse, "Oh! Is that Jackie Wilson I'm hearing on the radio? She replies, "No, Marvin Gaye". Then we started talking about liking the old classic rock and Motown music. Well...of course, I directed the conversation to AFL and how much I love him and she says, "Oh! I LOVE Adam Lambert! He should have won AI." We keep talking about Adam as she's drawing blood, and I let her know about the 2ND album he's working on, and ended our visit by giving her the acoustic Live CD and a CD I made of Adam songs Pre-Idol, Idol, and GNT I just happened to have in my purse. ;D Told her about the DVD/CD of GNT LIVE (wish I would have had an extra one with me to give her) and told her she should definitely get it. I left mentioning to look for a single out maybe sometime late August or early Sept. and the new album to be out in November. I love to bump into Adam fans like that...made my day! 8-) Adamrocks: I'm sure you also made HER day!!! |
