MSP I was tempted to quote your post to make it at the top of the page. I did not cause I am so nice. I think we only have a vague idea of what Adam 2 will have but I am SURE it will not have 5 WWFMs on it -- at least from a creative standpoint. BUT I sure hope it has 5 songs as big as WWFM!! Hahaha. You're nice and you're wicked, too. Thanks for taking pity on me! And WORD on your guesses and hopes for Adam 2!!! Thanks, Q3! ETA: DAMMIT!!!

I think it looks like adam and he looks totally adorable In this pic he looks like a sleazy agent or something with the glasses and the smirk...so of course I inserted him into HBO's show 'Entourage' Chunkey!!! That's the show I keep waiting for Adam to show up on!! Too funny! (hope he looks better tho)

makes you wonder how anyone ever makes money. I dunno but I sure as hell wanna become a song writer. Dem bitches make bank!!! And I think I am highly qualified to write lyrics for today's pop scene....observe.. Hey baby Move your body yeah yeah Touch my body oh oh oh In the club is where I move my body Dancing in the club In the club yeah yeah yeah Oh oh oh Work my body baby oh oh oh You make me wanna move In the club In the club Dance Dance Dance with my body Oh yeah Let's get wild tonight oooh oooh Wild with my body (repeat ten thousand times over a euro disco beat) BTW I am basing this on Nicole Sherzinger's new song with 50 Cent which approximately has about 10-15 words and they are all about body, touch my body, get up on me, yeah yeah, oh oh, me likey, right there, put it right there, oh oh and so on and so forth. Thanks for making me laugh harder than I have in some time. This is so true. Now using my newly discovered... SMH SMH SMH SMH SMH SMH SMH ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Just my 2 cents about Adam #2.
We've all known Adam 2 would be different. He can't sing a song the same way twice. His new album has to go in a different direction. And the tour, I can't imagine how bored he became with that.
I always suspected a hippie look the next time around. Instead, this new look reminds me of a sophisticated John Travolta in "Grease" or Fonzie or young Elvis. lol

You're right, sorry. Rejection was definitely too strong a word (and I kinda knew it as I was typing that which is why I added the ineffectual qualifiers "indulgent" and "goodnatured" : . I guess I'm just declaring my own fondness for that over-the-top Adam (surprise, surprise)--which was it's own form of realness--because I feel like there's a marked preference for the "new" Adam--even if that's just an idea rather than a reality--being expressed. But I know that that's mostly just giddiness and excitement for the new album, and I'm right there with you guys! Plus, yes, mys*&@^#r, hair and earrings are awesome. ETA: WTF how do I always end up at the tops of pages? :-[ It's hard enough for me to get up the gumption to post in the first place, because I get shy and more often than not I don't put it quite right (see above), and this just draws more attention to my stupid posts. As you can tell by my avi, I'm rather fond of over the top Adam too. I have no idea what I'm talking about but my guess is that he maybe got a liitle tired of the rhinestones after GNT and is just feeling like a change. Maybe so much focus on his make up instead of music in the press is making him want to make sure that doesn't happen. Who knows. BUT... I would bet that by the time his next tour comes around he'll start feeling the need for some outrageousness, it's in his DNA . I guess it's part of the fun of being and Adam fan, he keeps us guessing. An interesting article for you numbers crunchers and those interested in what factors make a pop star a success by their standards. All of the pop divas are compared in various categories and a queen of pop is crowned in Rolling stone. Funny I think Adam has tweeted or has some connection to all these ladies. Who would be on the male pop list? www.rollingstone.com/music/news/introducing-the-queen-of-pop-20110629

Adamrocks... I loved your story. These real life interactions with other Adam fans are fun to hear. As for Adam, I love his new pictures; I loved the old pictures, too. But something is really working to make him ridiculously good looking these days.

you're all completely right, of course, about Adam and his love of changing things up, and how we can never expect the same thing from him twice, and how wonderful that is. I had meant to shut up about this now (well, a while ago) because I'm getting boring (well, a while ago) but I just want to clarify one thing. I don't care about the rhinestones. I mean, no one can wear rhinestones on his eyelids quite like Adam (b!tches) but I certainly don't mourn them. I can see how that would get old (especially after doing meet and greets with 5,000 good-natured, well-meaning, rhinestone-bedazzled fans!) What I really care about is the attitude behind the rhinestones. The sense of humor. The playfulness. The idea that what a lot of great pop music is about is fun (and I'm not talking about the empty dance-floor fun that Chunkey has captured so, um, poetically). The willingness to be absurd. And I guess that all I was trying to say in my original post was that despite all this talk about Serious Adam that these lovely intense photos inspired, I have a lot of faith that all that playfulness and absurdity is still there, and still part of the process and of the artform for him, even if he isn't sporting rhinestones at the moment.
