Commenting on a dead thread, but: The Adam cover was the highest selling RS in 2009. Integrity to be damned, Rolling stone isn't above going after what sells.
emmuzka, I totally agree. I have no idea why RS went from lauding A for its top-selling cover (the month after Gaga, btw) for 2009 to pretending like he didn't exist in 2010, though he was certainly on the map musically and on the international stage, including some very provocative political issues, which is right up their (old) alley.
IDK, maybe they have to put artists in a "time out" when they try to make the leap from New Sensation to Established Artist.
