Also tonight at 8?City @city_tv .@lavernecox, @victoriajustice and @adamlambert star in the special television event of #TheRockyHorrorPictureShow TONIGHT at 8 on @city_tv In the picture they show the 'castle' in Toronto where they filmed the RHPS. It feels significant for me, because Toronto is the city that welcomed me so warmly after travelling halfway across the world for QAL. And the city where I saw Adam for the first time. Couldn't have wished for a better one. |

Which means I can watch it at 5pm on the west coast because We get time shifted stations. I also wanted to reply to one of sizzling63's earlier posts which seemed to indicate she was looking forward to the visuals that went along with Adam's version of SFDF. There very likely won't be any.... Ivy's solo version opens the show and Adam's version (Which is listed as a reprise) will come at the very end and likely over the end credits as audio only. Plus Eddie is long dead by this time making his appearance unlikely. Can I also just say I am loving his nuanced singing in SFDF... not only is every word nuanced, but every freaking syllable is. When people say Adam can sing anything I have always known it to be true, but a truer statement for me is that he makes me feel everything that he sings. EVERY SINGLE THING! |

EVERY SINGLE THING!I agree with everything you are saying here that I highlighted. When Adam sings he takes me to a different level inside myself and I really do get lost in his mesmerizing voice and body language. When he is performing a song I see and hear nothing but Adam.... nothing else around me. It really is amazing because I usually am concentrating on everything around me. It all stops when Adam is on stage.

I'm excited to see Adam bring it tonight. I want to be totally surprised so I'm going to stay outta here until I get to see it in my time zone. Sometimes it sucks being a west coaster. Have fun everyone, I will flail by myself later. Have a feeling there will be quite a number of pages for me to go through for tomorrow's news post.

Let's get this out of the way upfront — The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again is as awful as its title. Which is to be expected, because this a "family friendly" musical in the vein of Grease: Live and The Wiz, however Rocky Horror is anything but. In this iteration, the subversive, raunchy musical has been stripped of its shock factor and turned into a slick, shiny TV production. And it's extra offensive because this is the second time in six years that FOX has bastardized Rocky Horror. In 2010, they aired probably one of the worst episodes in Glee's existence: "The Rocky Horror Glee Show." Is FOX's latest iteration even worse than that episode? I had to revisit Glee to find out which is a greater crime against the original 1975 masterpiece.
