 A Kelly stan on my feed reminds us when we go through these periods that she went three months without tweeting.  I don't know what the deal is as someone who has written some long-form projects, I don't really get the "he's in the creative zone." I've never been that way, but that's just me. I will trust that he's happy with the creative process and whatever else is going on. Love that he knew "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings" so well. I went through a huge Maya Angelou phase years ago and I wouldn't have been able to pull that out of the blue. So sad, I got to see her speak once and she was just recovering from bronchitis. She was only about 15 minutes into her speech when she had a coughing fit and couldn't continue. She was mesmerizing up until that point too.  Her speech was themed on this quote (a concept that Adam has often referenced): "We are more alike, my friends, than we are unalike." Hmm, I meant to use a Maya Angelou quote for my signature line and forgot. |

He wished us a happy 4th of July. That was five days ago. This kind of talk scares me a little. I don't want fans to start fretting every time Adam seems out of touch for a few days. He's entitled to a personal life as well as a professional life. It wasn't that long ago that celebrities had no way of contacting their fans directly. You read about them in a magazine and had no way of knowing whether or not what you were reading was true. A few times a year you might be lucky enough to see your favorite on a talk show. Now we don't hear from Adam in five days and we're speculating about why he's "ignoring" us? Come on, guys! We're all hungry for news, but let's remember that he doesn't owe us anything except his music when it's ready! You are right , thanks for the reminder. I think it's that right now I have too much time on my hands so I notice this. I told an online Adam friend (not an Atopper) that I feel like when Adam tweets an @ to someone else, it is like he is tweeting to his fans. He has over 1 million followers. He knows we are reading all of those. He could text or call Carmit(as an example,) but he tweets it. To me, those tweets are him sharing his life and thoughts with us, even if it isn't directly to the fans. He has tweeted something everyday, except for July 5th, since July 1st. Plus, he authorized Lee to tweet out the studio pics. Oh! And that pic of Danielle and Sauli? C'mon, that was OKd by Adam. I have no doubt! It's Adam's BF with Adam's BFF! So, I just don't feel there has been a tweeting drought at all. And if he has been so busy that he has to choose between tweeting to us or working on his album and/or having some relaxing time. I hope he chooses album and relaxing everytime. |

I actually do not think Adam fans need a few tweets -- speaking just for myself -- I want some news about "the music", a single and album release date, and some new photos would be nice.
Album promo photo shoot should be this week or so. Mid July. So I think that the first thing we will get is photos.

I actually do not think Adam fans need a few tweets -- speaking just for myself -- I want some news about "the music", a single and album release date, and some new photos would be nice. Sorry, but this kind of made me lol. Adam's iPhone is more or less fused to his body. A tweet takes literally seconds. I really don't think it would interfere with his relaxation time. I guess the real issue is because after the last two summers, where we had DAILY updates and contact because of the AI Tour and GNT, which was almost daily for a full six months, that it has become something you just get used to. Every day was something new and it was fun and interactive. So, until we get a weather report or a pimping of someone else's creative project, we're back to ...   |

But sometimes you are just so mentally someplace else, even a tweet from your i-Phone to your fans isn't on your mind. Lack of tweets just doesn't bother me because I know he is in the cretaive process right now. He was on the Idol tour, for album one, and we had several interviews a day from him. I just don't think we can compare the news and constant updates from that album to this album. Plus, Adam did say he wants to surprise us. I am ready to be surprised. |

I am missing the thrill of Adam performing -- from Jan 2009 until the end of the tour there was always another performance. The excitement would build before he performed, then the treasure hunt after to find videos, reviews, photos and eye witness reports.
A bit relate: I just noticed something amazing. The #2 Idol's Live! concert thread on MJ's (last night) has only 128 comments?!?!?!? During AI8 Tour, those thread had 1,000+ comment and 90% were about HBIC. Just saying the excitement has left the Idol Building.

Since we're sharing theories...
I think Adam has chosen to not be "on" for a bit. It's not just that he's not tweeting. As near as we can tell, he hasn't done much public lately, except for attend "Twist" where we got just two pics. He's not at the clubs (or at least at the ones where paps take pics), he's not going out to dinner (or at least at the resturants where paps take pics), and he's not going other places where his pictures always get taken. I'm not suggesting he's hiding in his house- clearly, he's been to the studio and Sauli's blog talked about a four day party over the 4th. But in the next few weeks, he's going to go into full blown "on" 24/7 mode for months. Maybe more than a year, if FYE can be used as a template.
So he's spending this last little bit of time mostly out of the public eye, helping his finallylivingherenotjustvisiting boyfriend settle in, finishing his album, spending time with his friends. I miss him, and I'm as bored as anyone else, but we are about to get a disproportionate amount of his time and attention. If he wants some time where he doesn't have to worry about what he looks like, or who he tweets to (and whether or not people approve) or what the latest rumor is or what everyone's opinion is of his hair/cover/music/bf/whatever? I'll pout a bit in the corner but I'll get over it. His life is crazy. He gets to handle it any way he wants.

The format of this year's tour, with all the group numbers, doesn't allow for much individualization of performances night to night. S7 and S8 had performers who changed things up so you felt you had to see every show! This year, not so much. I was on-line the first night because I wanted to see the setlist. Last night, I was not in that thread at all. I feel no need to watch any more of the You Tubes. (Not even Haley's) |
