I don't really think it fair that a mentor "sings with" the finalist/contestant...and could actually totally back fire ..if the mentor out sings the finalist..that is..they could totally up stage that contestant.
Like Adam said it's the finalists day..not the mentor..and if guy does sing with Davey.. especially if it's something like Guys new song..then Guy is just an attention whore..no care for showcasing Davey at all..

What the heck is this? $35 tickets. It's listed on the venue's website as well as at TM Wiki lists the room at a 750 seat capacity. Either it is a total fuck-up or it could be as simple as the Extravaganza tribute band is booked there and someone made a copy/Paste error. LOL..... $35 per ticket..... ummmm... Bri and Rog wouldn't be playing for a $26,000 payday..... QE yes..... QAL no.

Totally different subject, but did anyone hear Billy Gilman sing The Show Must Go On on the voice last night? I was expecting big things, but it wasn't all that great. He just didn't sound anything like Adam. Adam would blow everyone's socks off on that show. Too bad he can't get on as a guest and show everyone what the term Voice really means! Cassie should look at Billy's rendition and hopefully, have a comment! Just listened to it and his voice is rather thin sounding. He has a pleasant enough voice but that song needs power behind it which this guy doesn't have. It floors me how much people are praised on that show for their voice when really it's just average! We all know what an exceptional voice sounds like and nothing short of that will do, at least not for me anymore!

I agree actually. In a way it struck me as not the ethical thing to do as well....it is the contestants time to shine. And I wonder if the word shine is the reason for this move. I doubt Guy is doing it for attention. We will find out soon enough. A winner should be capable of "standing on their own two feet". Pure speculation on my part...and I sure could be very wrong. THIS home town visit SHOULD ALSO BE SHOWING WHO CAN HANDLE A RECORDING CONTRACT AND A LIFE THAT GOES WITH IT. Is Davey confident to do a show on his own? Learning a song or two songs per week now parlays into a 20-30 minute set. He has to know his lyrics, the music etc. His youtubes are more off the cuff guitar playing with some vocals. I wonder if the x factor team are afraid that he is feeling not at ease. They do not want a breakdown with no back up ....and this is their way of keeping the brand name of the X Factor positive for those who attend. Who knows...just my brain twirling around with thoughts.
