Isaiah is bringing Lambert to Moama

Moama is getting its fair share of star power today when X-Factor star — our own Isaiah Firebrace — visits town with mentor and pop sensation Adam Lambert.
The 16-year-old St Joseph’s College student breezed through to the reality show grand final on Monday night following Sunday’s live performances of Sam Cooke’s A Change Is Gonna Come and FourFiveSeconds by Rihanna and Kanye West.
Today, he will perform a selection of songs from the TV season at Moama Bowling Club’s The Venue flanked by Lambert — the man behind pop hits including Ghost Town, If I Had You and Whataya Want From Me.
The dynamic duo will be at the bowling club for a 4.30pm performance, where Lambert will present Isaiah to a crowd of 500.
MBC marketing manager George Santos said it was impossible to fit any more than that into the venue, although he knew the event would be popular.
‘‘Social media has indicated a swell of support for Isaiah and we anticipate there will be crowds lining up before the event, it’s important for safety to control numbers,’’ he said.
‘‘We’re proud to help present this free performance, I’ve watched Isaiah grow into a talented musician in the past four years and now there’s a national focus on our incredible local talent.’’
Isaiah told the Riv last week the support from home had been amazing.
‘‘I think Adam will be a little shocked,’’ he laughed.
‘‘He is amazing. He is so chilled and so much fun, I am so lucky to have him as my mentor.’’
During the home visit, Isaiah will also visit some old stomping grounds, including Two Tarts Juice Bar where a juice is named after him.

Speaking to Planet Rock, Roger Taylor was asked whether he has any interest in a Led Zeppelin-style remasters series. Taylor said he'd rather put out new Queen music.: "If we do anything in the future, I'd like it to be something new. I don't know how new it would sound, but I think if Brian could come up with a song or two which we felt, sort of, fitted, you know." This got stitched together with some other comments made by Roger and Brian over the past few years to become, “Queen consider recording new material with Adam Lambert.”
Now we all know that no one has side they are recording new music, but suspend reality for a moment. What if it's true? What do you think they should record? And do you think it would be successful -- artistically, critically and commercially?
