Just a fast comment on the Adam leaving 19 Management rumor. I am not sure what the big deal is. This is not news. And so what if he leaves 19M? As far as the silly rumors that XIX/Fuller left Adam behind...they are working for him and have been for almost a year. Simon Fuller "personally" managed Adam in 2009, but then Iain Pirie from 19E took over. Simon Fuller was responsible for the "great" UK launch -- so I would be happy if he stayed far away from Adam. JMHO YMMV. Roger Widynowski (as in Adam's Roger) has been SVP Communications for XIX (Simon Fuller's company) since last October -- close to a year. (April 2011.) Roger is still is working for Adam. Here is Adam on the NNN Runway and that is Roger in the background. April 2011. lockerz.com/s/90406038XIX is Simon Fuller's talent management company and Simon has a lucrative consulting agreement with 19M. (Public record -- just look it up on SEC filings.) CKX the parent company of 19 Entertainment is being acquired by Apollo Global. Once that deal is completed, they are expected to get out of the artist Management business which was Simon Fullers area and establish partnerships with other firms, including XIX to manage the artists who are under contract to 19M. So yes, there is a game of musical chairs going on between 19 and XIX but Adam will not be affected. |

It's not a big deal, but many were hoping he would stay with Fuller and "officially" move to XIX. Maybe you are right and it would be a good thing if he didn't go with the person responsible for the UK launch. ??? I just wanted to check to see if anyone knew exactly what was going on...because there are rumors floating around that could and do affect Adam. I'm NOT saying these rumors would be good or bad, because that is open for opinions and how fans might view these changes. We will hear about them soon enough, I guess. |

I have been out all evening and had not taken any time to understand what this rumor is about and why people on Twitter are so wound up it. (I was not trying to be flippant -- when I commented that I was not sure what the big deal was.) I just wanted to post that XIX is already essentially managing Adam. The rest is just contracts that are Adam's business. JMHO YMMV. Adam seems perfectly capable of managing his career. He has great lawyers, in well connected in the industry and he is really smart. And finally, I really do not know why anyone thinks that having Fuller "personally" manage Adam again would be a good thing. ETA: But I do give Simon Fuller kudos for picking ACIGC for Adam to do on the Idol final. |
