I wasn't really analyzing it...just thought that Adam's name in combination with Gaga isn't bad for generating publicity - I didn't really think about anything else other than two separate events being publicized in one sentence. However(!), now you got me thinking....ugghh. I hope Gaga is too busy in June and July getting ready for her own tour. Nothing against her, but I don't want her involved with Queen. I read it as him being a party to her tour not her being a party to QAL. Hmm...how would that work? Adam doesn't have any new music to promote (yet!).

I really don't expect that tweet to be a slipup disclosing anything, way more likely just very poor execution of the contents of the giveaway(s). That aside, An act would not necessarily need to be promoting new music, although to have at least some would be preferable I would think.

It would be interesting to find out who's Adam's PR now, what's caused the change, and whether the new PR is US based. I know nothing about PR, but from my my view as layman and as a very moderate pop culture consumer, it seemed Edge was able to do some good things for some of their clients. It looks like Britney Spears had nothing but good press since she hired Edge, which is impressive if you remember the tons of negative and snarky press she used to get before that. And they've done wonders with John Legend, managing to milk to the max the boring facts that he married a model from his music video and they had a baby. This couple is E!'s darlings, and he's definitely reaping the fruit. I have no idea what Edge managed to do for clients such as Shakira or Anastasia, who don't seem to be so much in the public eye. As for Adam, I think it's impressive how they managed to keep his profile pretty high in the UK, even though he didn't have any radio play there at all, but that's all that I know that they've done for him. Again - I'm no expert, it's very possible that they've done much much more for him, and I'd be happy to learn about it. And of course there's a lot going behind the scene that we wouldn't know about. In any case, as someone here has already said, a new PR firm would have new tricks up their sleeve, so I'm excited to see what would be done differently. I think EdgePR did an excellent job for Adam but artists do change PR firms quite regularly. No way to know why Adam left, but money is often involved in these decisions. In this case -- and just my guess -- Adam's contract was up, he and his team did a review and decided that a different firm could do a better job for him at this point in his career. >> While I think highly of Shoshanna and her team, I think they do not have a very strong organization in North America and that is the critical market for Adam probably representing more than 50% of his earning potential. This MIGHT have been a consideration for him. Most of the EdgePR clients had relationships with Sony UK PR and followed Shoshanna when she left Sony in 2011 to start up a Music PR division of Outside Organization (Outside Edge) -- including Britney Spears, Usher and Shakira [Usher later left.] When Shoshanna split off from Outside Organization and formed Edge Publicity, for the most part the artist roster went with her.

As I posted two days ago I think the trip by Brian and his wife to NYC was because of his wife birthday on Saturday. I agree! A vacation for Brian and Anita! But still wondering if he might have brought the red guitar to record something with Adam while he was there! It does not appear that the Red Special was in NYC because Pete was in the UK. BUT it is not the only guitar that Brian uses for recordings. Odd that Brian and Adam were both in NYC at the same time -- seems like more than a coincidence to me. But coincidences do happen. And I guess Brian was really sightseeing!!

In this case it's the man on the far right of the picture - Tony Iommi - guitarist for Black Sabbath and good friend of Brian's. Thanks for clueing me in as to who the gentleman was. I did not remember him by face, and his hair was longer. He and two other friends sat just behind and off my right shoulder during the 2012 first night of QAL at the Apollo, London 2012. Geldorf was one of the other fellows. Good to know Iommi is a good friend! That means that you and I were seated right near each other at that concerts because they were behind me too!! I always loved that Bob Geldoft and Tony Iommi were behind me at a concert!!

Adam not being with Edge Publicity now. Does that mean he and Shosh are no longer working together? If so pity. I felt she did a very good job capturing Adams UK Market Appeal. I guess North America is where the focus should be from this point on.
