How much money does Adam make from his music?

As I recall, the Idol contract stipulated that advances increased with every subsequent album, but there was a range associated with it. That range probably depends on the sales of the first album.
Damn, wish I had saved the advance data, but I know on mj's it kept getting quoted over and over. However (and this isn't a S8 who's Idol-is-better thing), if you look at the Paltrow data and compare it against Kris' theoretical $350K advance, the LLYD single sales, and ~350K album sales (that's from memory, not gonna check), Kris shouldn't have left Jive THAT much in the hole.
Kris probably brought in $2M to Jive. I'm going to assume his album cost a bit less than Adam's since not quite so many name producers, he only had one video, and not nearly as many television appearances. I'm assuming the same or a bit more was paid for radio promo.
Give me a sec, and I'll do a crappy back-of-envelope guess, but I'm guessing Kris' advance isn't that large a part of the equation.
ETA: Ok - here it is. Remember that I don't track Kris' numbers so these are just the figures I sorta recall from skimming mj's periodically. I'm using the Paltrow multipliers.
Income:

Income:
- 660,000 = $ made for record company on singles (based on 1.65K US singles with $0.4 gross margin for $0.99 single)
- 1,400,000 = $ made for record company on CDs (based on 350K US CD sales with $4 gross margin)
- 2,060,000 = $ made for record company on CD + singles
Expenses:- 350,000 = Kris' advance
- 800,000 = cost of album production (some high end producers; mostly AI stable)
- 1,500,000 = promo and video costs
- 2,650,000 = KATA expenses (just album, not tour etc)
Which leaves KATA about $590K in the hole...except that the figures I scribbled above could be way off due to overestimation of the promo/vid costs. KATA probably isn't in the black, but it may not be THAT far off. Couple hundred K maybe. I just don't know.
In any case, if Kris gets his second album, his advance does increase, but probably not by that much. Probably production costs and promo will be lowered to make up for it. - 350,000 = Kris' advance
