Adam called himself a guest of Queen and then said they have too many hits when talking to audience in Las Vegas.. Gosh I always think of him as frontman for Queen.. How humble is Adam LOL Yes, he does have a healthy dose of humility that balances his outward confidence when performing. But in this case maybe more being canny and playing for the crowd. In interviews he talks about being part of the family... He's worked it even more to his advantage this time, using the freddie talk as an intro to his own song - freddie didn't give a fuck, I have a new song about not giving two fux, I dedicate it to him. People more inclined to listen now. |

Thank you so much! A little embarrassed by how much I wanted to see that moment. But it was as I pictured in my mind's eye, Adam, so aware of the staging, so gracefully holding Brian's arm, moving him back, placing himself between the jets and Dr May, Brian's realization, the hug and laughter, and then, not skipping a beat, hitting the next note perfectly. The Show Must Go On. Honestly, is there no end to the wonderfulness of our Adam? I don't know him, I don't know his life, and everybody has snags and tears, but Adam's essential grace as he moves through life is very moving to me. Plus he's hot. There's that. Oh, and The Voice. #happytobeafanforlife |

I don't give two fux if throwbacks are set to certain weekdays...Imma throw you guys WAY back with this had to smile when Adam was the one to acknowledge the band (at 3:30)...like he always does... Loved seeing Adam's tech save of Brian. It reminded me of a "been there done that" moment. I was standing on stage in front of a platform. When I finished my line I was supposed to step to the side before actual fire spewed out of the front of the platform. I only remembered the cue at the very last minute, and was spared more than a little singe.
After the show I said something to the stage manager about the close call, and he informed me that, altho' the pyrotechnics were all pre-programmed, they had to be triggered by a person on cue. Too dangerous to be set on automatic. He assured me he would not have pressed the switch if I had forgotten to move. It would make sense that the same is true of the special effects for the QAL show.
Regardless, I'll take the save. Brian surely appreciated it.

we have that save-moment in IWIA from Pheonix goes down at about 7:25 in the video...looks quite serious... Wow - that truly was a save. You can see Adam skipping toward Brian to get there quickly. The gifs posted by skaschep give a good slow-mo of it as well. |
