I would argue that it is just about right. Some Queen fans have said it's not enough. Some wish Rog would still do Days of Our Lives because of the nice band montage that plays throughout. Brian introducing SYW yesterday by giving John a shoutout was nice. I think the idea was giving Adam more of Bo Rap was a good trade off for the Freddie call and response - such an integral part of the Queen show and one that Adam never seemed to be sure of doing during the '14-15 tours. So let a vid do it as it's a Freddie thing anyways. I liked the little add on - it was a nice touch for me. The problem without looking back is that until QAL produces some original material of their own they are by definition a nostalgic act. How do you do a nostalgia act without looking back? I think it's a nice fit right now one already does let QAL shine but still gives respect to what got them there in the first place. Jut my $.02 Valid points from a different perspective, especially the nostalgia reference. I get it. I think we can all be extremely happy with the current show. Considering various needs that have to be met, it is hard to criticize at all. I think it was a great idea to have Freddie do the call /response thingy (and the Fuck You in the end is awesome!) - it lets Adam rest instead of running around the stage doing silly vocalizations, lets the audience to "engage" with Freddie, also - very important - it is a safe moment for a bathroom break for me at home...lol plus we got more of Adam's REAL SINGING in BR! stampsgirl - i enjoyed your recap immensely! looking forward - the Omaha venue is the least sold so far, hope the next 24 hours will change that. The prices are lower than anywhere else, but idk when they were dropped.

To save the picture: Brian Crum is one of those guys with a stupendous voice who may struggle to get that breakthrough song or album that will push his career forward. I saw him sing STL on AGT. He was great! But AGT is much like Idol. The viewers votes like mad for someone they like on the show, but after the show's finale, they tend to forget about who they voted for and don't buy their music. It happens to so many singing show contestants. Brian and Adam have been friends. Nice to see Brian at the QAL show. I wish him luck.

Watched Brian a few times because he was getting compared to Adam. He has a great voice, but IMO, zero connection with his audience.

Did he get signed to a label?

Love that hair that's turning a gorgeous auburn. My favorite hair/beard color on him of all time. Guessing that this is actually closest to his current real color too.

So, Kesha's back! Will she zoom to the top of the charts? I'm glad to see Adam supporting her. I hope she does go to the top of the charts. She has been through hell and has survived.

My "Queen" news of the day. Mention from my local paper of the Queen Nation tribute band with an Adam mention? www.idahostatesman.com/entertainment/ent-columns-blogs/words-deeds/article159888164.html It kicks off Friday with touring tribute band Queen Nation. And they will (they will) rock you. Seriously, from “Bicycle Race” to “Bohemian Rhapsody,” frontman Gregory Finsley really nails Freddie Mercury. (Some argue that Finsley, not Adam Lambert, should be performing with the real Queen.) Boise’s own Ned Evett Electric Band opens the show from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Queen Nation will prove they are the champions starting at 6:30 and play until 8:30 p.m. — unless they need to go on and on and on and on I wonder if the Queen Nation front man Gregory Finsley is more of a Freddy impersonator type of performer. If he "really nails" Freddy" it leads me to believe that he tries to imitate Freddy. Of course, Adam does NOT do this, which is precisely why Brian and Roger chose him and value so much. He is not a Freddy copier. I could be wrong about Gregory. He could be really good. But Adam is best fit for Queen for multiple reasons, not just the voice. Definitely impersonators of Queen. The guitarist has Brian's hairdo, and the drummer an earlier Roger style. Gregory is dressed like Freddie and has a similar mustache. They are definitely in the business of recreating Queen in its heyday. Just like the many Elvis impersonators making a living. QAL is not remotely like that. While they are not interested in creating new music, they are not trying to just replicate concerts of the past. I guess it is my classical background again, but the idea of performing great music from the past and invigorating it while remaining faithful to the original intent of the composer is what classical musicians do. When I played in an orchestra the conductor never once said we should listen to some other symphony orchestra and reproduce exactly what they did and how they sounded. We were to accurately perform the notes, tempo, and dynamics as written, while infusing the piece with the vision the conductor shared with us. That is what QAL does, and does it brilliantly. The references to Freddie in the show do not bother me. Nostalgia feels good. It produces warm fuzzy memories for many. Activates pleasure centers in the brain. It seems that QAL's nods to the past encourage audience members to embrace their memories and simultaneously, enjoy the grandeur and spectacle of the present, with stellar live, vibrant performances by Adam and the rest. QAL, by including Freddie in the show, is not asking the audience to abandon or forget the original frontman. Rather, it may give them permission to move forward and enjoy the now.
