I really like this setlist with SYW moved up. I would like it even better if they added one more song to the encore -- "Shear Heart Attack" -- oh I can

I cannot agree with you more. "And no, I am not hating on Freddie, but I think Q+AL is something in its own right and should be allowed to develop and shine without so much looking back." While I don't need anyone to tell me how good Adam is fronting Queen (cause I can hear and see it for myself) too much of the past makes it too much about the past. Recognition and respect is great but it would not hurt to cut it back a bit. I think the Freddie call and response doesn't really fit in, and it didn't do much for me either. But may be some diehards need it. I am wondering if Adam was the one suggesting it. I am also on the "21st century Queen" team that pays subtle respect to the former frontman without overdoing it. I doubt that Adam suggested that clip. It was probably a group decision from Brian, Roger and the Queen team. I also guess they wanted to have Freddie saying "fuck" so no one could be upset about Adam saying "Fux." At least that is the only thing I can come up with to explain that clip being used -- and right there in the show.

Awww--- I appreciate the comments regarding my re cap. It took me a minute to wind down from the euphoric concert. Some of you will be winding up for your tour dates! Wishing you memories for a life time. London was the original high, 2014 tour--huge production, polished, top form 2017--- well---the "package" just gets betterer and betterer. My view... It is the best "SHOW" of the QAL legacy. So enjoy the SHOW! Ps I totally agree with danceygeorgia. They dive in so quickly after some songs there is no time to "gift back" the appreciation through cheers/claps. Seems sad. The crowd is usually clapping/cheering in appreciation long before the final notes of the instrumentation. It does make me wonder how much of that energy is heard by the band. I did my darndest to assist in brightening up the spirit, and levitating the roof off!

I think the Freddie call and response doesn't really fit in, and it didn't do much for me either. But may be some diehards need it. I am wondering if Adam was the one suggesting it. I am also on the "21st century Queen" team that pays subtle respect to the former frontman without overdoing it. I would argue that it is just about right. Some Queen fans have said it's not enough. Some wish Rog would still do Days of Our Lives because of the nice band montage that plays throughout. Brian introducing SYW yesterday by giving John a shoutout was nice. I think the idea was giving Adam more of Bo Rap was a good trade off for the Freddie call and response - such an integral part of the Queen show and one that Adam never seemed to be sure of doing during the '14-15 tours. So let a vid do it as it's a Freddie thing anyways. I liked the little add on - it was a nice touch for me. The problem without looking back is that until QAL produces some original material of their own they are by definition a nostalgic act. How do you do a nostalgia act without looking back? I think it's a nice fit right now one already does let QAL shine but still gives respect to what got them there in the first place. Jut my $.02 I will be interested to read what you think about that clip after you see the concert. It just feels stuck in there to me and does not flow right. The other two Freddie clips fit in nicely. I would love to have "Days of our Lives" and the band footage back -- or even better a new band montage from the 1970's. And I was pleased that Brian mentioned John in Denver -- seemed odd to me he was not in any video and not mentioned. ETA: As I posted above -- I think that clip is there because Freddie says "Fuck" to link to and preempt complaints/whines about Adam saying "Fux" and plastering it on the big arena screens in 2-foot high letters in his lyrics video.

cassie also from me a big thank you, for that explanation of that wwtlf performance...I have heard/seen Adam perform countless times but this tour around it gets me again when I watch it on videos and I'm really concerned that when I see it live it will downright kill me ...and for me that explanation of the timing of two fux, was not tmi To me it seems weird to have a video do the singalong...but maybe I'd think differently if it were Adam...don't know...the one negative of a video is, Adam used to have the sections compete and egged them on, if they weren't loud enough, a video can't do that...if people like it, why not and absolutely yes, it gives the band a break The "right amount" off look-back is in the eye of the beholder, your never gonna hit it right for everyone, It's always going to be "too"...can't win either way... I'm enjoying this tour via video so far, the band seems to too, I really like the added syw, It's late and gdml... Save me was recently brought up, one of the billion other songs i'd like to see life but what stuns be about save me is the acapella beginning, infront of thousands of people singing for Queen #ballsofsteel

Great sound! Queen w/Adam Lambert - Who Wants to Live Forever - LIVE FRONT ROW Denver 6JULY2017 - Concertaholicshirts4 www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbg-uUcANYoEdits by @11_HeavyFire At the end of yesterday's thread we were talking about the endurance test that was IL, SYW and WWTLF back to back. This clearly demonstrates how very strong his voice was in Denver. What makes this one of my all-time favorite performances of WWTLF? And a demonstration of strength and control? *He starts out using his light, pure natural voice lightly to just float the first verse. It's like an intimate whisper, and my favorite sound. *At 1:24 you don't see him take a monster breath (actually, I never see him do that) but he sings "forever. Ooooooo, yeah!" all in a sustained breath while increasing the volume and intensity. Demonstrates great breath support and control. *Again at 1:40 he extends the melodic line "forever. Ahhhhhhhhh" climbing up the scale to a powerful , crystaline D5 and E5. Those notes are spot on, pitch wise. I can sometimes speculate on how strong he is feeling that night by whether he takes a breath after "forever," and whether he peaks the phrase at a C5, a D5 or, occasionally like this performance, an E5. *At 2:40, he hits a beautiful D5 and sustains it on the word "love." This is a note he usually does, but sometimes he cuts it off a bit shorter, or hits it the slightest bit flat, and sometimes he eliminates it completely. Not this time. It has that wonderful pure ring to it, and spot on. It is an indication of how strong he is feeling at the time, vocally and physically. It is little things like this that I listen for and love. Sometimes I don't get to my laptop til late in the day-and the first thing I look for during QAL tours is WWTLF because, well, you know,it's ADAM'S SONG now. So that's what I did. Listened to Adam's performance in Denver last night and it was another moment in time for me that I will never forget. Took my breath away...Now I have "traveled" the world with many of you ,listening to this song and been brought to a place of ecstasy, including when I heard Adam dedicate this song at the Isle of Wight, to victims of hate and violence following the tragedy in the Pulse nightclub. But nothing prepared me for the sound of Adam singing that song in Denver last night. It's up there with the definitive moments of beauty/love/joy of my lifetime----the moment I held my firstborn for the first time, the moment I first dashed into the foamy white waves at the seashore in Rockaway Beach as a small child, the first moment I stood in front of my classroom and saw excited students raising their hands to share their thoughts, the moment as a newlywed laying in the arms of my DH on a rainy Saturday afternoon, blissfully listening to Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata in our tiny Brooklyn apartment all those years ago...Yes, it was that wonderful and I only wish that Adam could know the absolute JOY he gives to so many with his "supernatural" voice. So then I went to Adamtopia to check the threads and saw Cassie's detailed interpretation and explanations of Adam's vocal delivery of that song that "sent shivers up my spine." Although I don't have the professional training in music that she has,her knowledge has helped me understand and appreciate Adam's artistry even more, and enhanced my appreciation of the magnificent effort involved. So thank you, Cassie, for sharing your expertise with all of us throughout the years. It also validated my response, knowing that even without knowing all the technicalities of Adam's training , I know when something is truly extraordinary---and last night was certainly beyond....This video will stay with me for a very long time, another testament to Keat's famous line, A THING of BEAUTY IS a JOY FOREVER

So, Kesha's back! Will she zoom to the top of the charts? I'm glad to see Adam supporting her. I hope she does go to the top of the charts. She has been through hell and has survived. I totally agree, rama....I was thinking the same thing. Plus, it is an awesome song and video. Nothing like she put out before....and really gut wrenching. I wish her all good stuff...just bought the track on itunes
