My "Queen" news of the day. Mention from my local paper of the Queen Nation tribute band with an Adam mention? www.idahostatesman.com/entertainment/ent-columns-blogs/words-deeds/article159888164.html It kicks off Friday with touring tribute band Queen Nation. And they will (they will) rock you. Seriously, from “Bicycle Race” to “Bohemian Rhapsody,” frontman Gregory Finsley really nails Freddie Mercury. ( Some argue that Finsley, not Adam Lambert, should be performing with the real Queen.) Boise’s own Ned Evett Electric Band opens the show from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Queen Nation will prove they are the champions starting at 6:30 and play until 8:30 p.m. — unless they need to go on and on and on and on Surely that is tongue in cheek otherwise Some people are truly clueless. Prowl this if you dare. m.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=3898&v=dtCtMneaoIEAt the second Hollywood Bowl show the couple sitting next to Prism kept talking about a tribute band they loved. Said the guitar player was better than Brian. The guy kept showing Prism videos on his phone and making her promise to look them up. I think it was this band, Queen Nation. LOL Showing this band's phone videos while at the QAL show... It kept Prism from fully enjoying the show. peace&love

Brian Justin Crum @brianjustincrum I was one PROUD friend last night. So incredible watching you headline the greatest rock band of all time! Thank you .@adamlambert!! I got to meet Brian once...a really sweet guy. He was the lead role in the American touring version of We Will Rock You (Pre AGT)...I knew the guitarists in the house-band so when it came near me I got to go all four nights and I got to sit up on stage with the band (which was on a raised platform running along the back of the stage) Pretty nice time...BUT I digress. Brian was awesome and I hope he is very successful!

I really like this setlist with SYW moved up. I would like it even better if they added one more song to the encore -- "Shear Heart Attack" -- oh I can From your lips to Brian's ears...or Rog's....or whomever will decide. I don't mind SYW above but to me there is something nice about a 3rd song for the encore...something before WWRY. Sheer Heart Attack would be a perfect choice!

Next time something like that happens to me I hope I manage to be less polite. I'm still irritated! Although it helped a lot that I went to another concert after that (San Jose) and I'm really looking forward to one more - Dallas.

So, Kesha's back! Will she zoom to the top of the charts? I'm glad to see Adam supporting her. I hope she does go to the top of the charts. She has been through hell and has survived. Hope she does well but gotta say I'm more than a bit over angsty girl diva songs. It just all starts get to "feel my pain" - maybe some time listening to Leonard Cohen or any number of the artists who could demonstrate their pain through restraint ...

I would argue that it is just about right. Some Queen fans have said it's not enough. Some wish Rog would still do Days of Our Lives because of the nice band montage that plays throughout. Brian introducing SYW yesterday by giving John a shoutout was nice. I think the idea was giving Adam more of Bo Rap was a good trade off for the Freddie call and response - such an integral part of the Queen show and one that Adam never seemed to be sure of doing during the '14-15 tours. So let a vid do it as it's a Freddie thing anyways. I liked the little add on - it was a nice touch for me. The problem without looking back is that until QAL produces some original material of their own they are by definition a nostalgic act. How do you do a nostalgia act without looking back? I think it's a nice fit right now one already does let QAL shine but still gives respect to what got them there in the first place. Jut my $.02 I will be interested to read what you think about that clip after you see the concert. It just feels stuck in there to me and does not flow right. The other two Freddie clips fit in nicely. I would love to have "Days of our Lives" and the band footage back -- or even better a new band montage from the 1970's. And I was pleased that Brian mentioned John in Denver -- seemed odd to me he was not in any video and not mentioned. ETA: As I posted above -- I think that clip is there because Freddie says "Fuck" to link to and preempt complaints/whines about Adam saying "Fux" and plastering it on the big arena screens in 2-foot high letters in his lyrics video. I will certainly let you know...You might be at least partially right, but I've talked to some people...and they confirmed that Brian thinks that the Freddie singalong is kind of iconic to a Queen gig now - even more now in hindsight where it seems bigger as it's often shown...hell the Olympics had Freddie doing this exact singalong and was a hit. They also said that Adam couldn't quite find the right way to do it and feel comfortable...so they think (though I admit they didn't know for sure) that this was Brian's solution...

I know that the band (no Adam) played SHA at their early rehearsals -- so I think it is could be up to Adam at this point. I guess we will have to wait and see. My bet remains it appears for the UK.

The Freddie interlude may also give the band a small break for water, bathroom, a fresh dry shirt, etc.

Can't believe anyone could think that singer was better than Adam. And I prefer young and gorgeous. When you said tribute band, I was thinking it was QE, which I know a lot of people like.

"The Freddie interlude may also give the band a small break for water, bathroom, a fresh dry shirt, etc."
Makes sense then if that is the reason. Just glad they gave Adam more BR cause he does a great job and I like it better that new way.
