This pre-IWIA wailing is something else.

Thanks for the recap, stampsgal! I love the details - more is more. Especially this gem: "I really was able to see how his body prepares to belt out those big notes. Leaning forward/bent knees, then rising up and the tongue coming out and literally vibrating, or going in and out while going for it. Yet, other times a long note or words/sounds would build and one would never know how he is preparing as externally there was little change --he was already standing tall/head up and that ability would just overwhelm me."

Yes, thanks Stampsgal! Now you know why those of us who have been so close never want to go back to bowls or balconies. So glad you had such a wonderful experience.

I can already tell that Adam has lost weight. You can see it all over, but especially in his arms...they're slimmer and more defined. Each concert must burn tons of calories...and maybe Simon has him eating healthy as well.

Great sound! Queen w/Adam Lambert - Who Wants to Live Forever - LIVE FRONT ROW Denver 6JULY2017 - Concertaholicshirts4 www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbg-uUcANYoEdits by @11_HeavyFire At the end of yesterday's thread we were talking about the endurance test that was IL, SYW and WWTLF back to back. This clearly demonstrates how very strong his voice was in Denver. What makes this one of my all-time favorite performances of WWTLF? And a demonstration of strength and control? *He starts out using his light, pure natural voice lightly to just float the first verse. It's like an intimate whisper, and my favorite sound. *At 1:24 you don't see him take a monster breath (actually, I never see him do that) but he sings "forever. Ooooooo, yeah!" all in a sustained breath while increasing the volume and intensity. Demonstrates great breath support and control. *Again at 1:40 he extends the melodic line "forever. Ahhhhhhhhh" climbing up the scale to a powerful , crystaline D5 and E5. Those notes are spot on, pitch wise. I can sometimes speculate on how strong he is feeling that night by whether he takes a breath after "forever," and whether he peaks the phrase at a C5, a D5 or, occasionally like this performance, an E5. *At 2:40, he hits a beautiful D5 and sustains it on the word "love." This is a note he usually does, but sometimes he cuts it off a bit shorter, or hits it the slightest bit flat, and sometimes he eliminates it completely. Not this time. It has that wonderful pure ring to it, and spot on. It is an indication of how strong he is feeling at the time, vocally and physically. It is little things like this that I listen for and love.
