Some non-ticket reading. This article doesn't mention Adam at all but it is about Max Martin, written in early 2018 so not totally up to date, and talks about his formulatic song writing and maybe that's not the newest next thing anymore. When Adam didn't seem to do a second album with Max I wondered if he found the machine a little confining or after finding the push to do more in falsetto didn't transfer to live shows he maybe felt slightly led astray. It could be on Max's end too, didn't get a number 1 out of it so moved on. Or when #4 comes out we'll find they've been working like crazy together and it's all been something else. noisey.vice.com/en_us/article/bjyq48/max-martin-pop-songwriting-hot-100-charts-2017"How Max Martin Built a Pop Sound Then Lost His Grip on the Charts"

Yes, those VIP prices are really high in the US. There's lots of profit in them. They may even be higher this go around. I think golds were over $700 for first three rows and silvers were over $500 for the next ten rows last tour....may be even higher in 2019. The speculative resellers have started out with high prices.

Does anyone know how Panic at the Disco works? It seems to me that Brendon Urie is a solo artist with a backing band but PATD is always listed as a band. Their latest album went #1 on Billboard 200 and #1 on rock and #1 alternative. Their single "High Hopes" is now #1 on top 40, HAC and Alternative and #49 on AAA. Is it the label that gets them on so many different charts and the extra exposure? If so, why would a label limit some of their artists to only one or maybe two charts if they are more than pop artists (or 30 + and trying to compete with the young pop divas and teen idols) and could fit on other charts? I think it is great that some artists can go to the top of the top 40 charts, as well as other charts, without the need to brand themselves as only pop and narrowing their reach. PATD is not hard rock so not that different from other works that don't get the expanded reach. They are also with the label that pushed FUN so maybe they are just better at it than some of the other labels. I sure hope Adam is with a label who will work to get him maximum exposure this time and not limit him to one or two charts.

What I found really upsetting, was the fact, that during the last US tour they often added a row at the end of the thrust just on the day of the show. The best seats in the room where added last minute and sold for the regular price of about 120$. I think, I would have gone mad, had I had a seat (for more than 700 $) in the row behind them, that had originally been the front row on the seating chart. I know, that many Queen fans waited at the last US tour, before they bought a ticket. The presale seats were definitely NOT the best and mostly further back. The high priced VIP seats were often not sold and were usually changed into regular priced seats before the concerts. They waited and bought them for a sensible price. I know, the demand of tickets will probably be higher this time, so I‘m not sure, if this will work again. You must be really relaxed to wait that long. But it usually pays off.

I finally made it back to see BoRhap for a second time yesterday afternoon. I was able to relax and just enjoy it this time...knowing where and when Adam's cameo was. There were 7 folks in the theater...were 6 back on opening weekend. My theater is down to having only 2 showings per day this week. I have a feeling it will be pulled soon..maybe after this week.

If you're planning to buy VIP (gold, silver etc.), you won't need any code and you can buy Thursday. It so annoys me that I can't see the exact seat configuration for the floor seats next to thrust before they go on sale! Also, Amex seemed to have more seats last tour than Queen or Adam fans presales. My Macy's credit card is an Amex and that worked fine - just not for the "preferred" Amex seats, only regular Amex seats. No mention yet of Amex so not sure that's happening this time around. Ugh ticket stress! The MSG site says they have “CHASE preferred seating ” this time around, IDK if this is venue or tour dependent.. www.msg.com/calendar/madison-square-garden-august-2019-queen-adam-lambert-the-rhapsody-tour#about-the-event

I got fantastic last minute front row thrust deals for Omaha and KC because it was these two locations....that never materilized for some of the more popular venues. In Nashville I ate a mediocre Silver seat when a cheap front row add'l seat was added last minute. I bought that Silver during presale before the interactive map popped up because I was in a panic and also thought the seats were numbered differently than they turned out to be. You just never know....it's hit or miss. I've been telling myself for almost 10 years to be patient....and so far I haven't followed my own advice.
