Can somebody please enter a comment to the Pop Crush article Adam Lambert ‘Has Taken the Reigns’ on Production of Upcoming Album, at popcrush.com/adam-lambert-taken-reigns-production-album/ to tell them yes thanks for the interesting news but PLEASE correct the spelling mistake in the title !!! I can spell (mostly) but am a perfect fool when it comes to computer stuff and cannot do it myself there being no simple "post button"... And I just noticed the same mistake in Q3's post, it's not "the ability to reign him", the verb is rein, and the idea underlying it is pulling the reins of a horse. Why am I pointing this out? I never get a chance to contribute with news or new ideas, so I jumped at this chance to say something, which is not that significant, but still puts me - the lurker queen - here on this page with you dear friends, talking about beloved Adam ! great catch, youaebetterer! I haven't noticed that either, and I am thinking that it is sort of a Freudian slip... Adam does reign in so many ways, andhe WILL reign the music world... post more, please

gelly, thanks so much for this. It's really good quality and I finally got to see Joshua's 'heart-eyes' that everyone was talking about . I need someone more techie to tell me where it's sourced from, but looks really interesting, at first sight. I was looking over the site to see a bit more about it and found the 'suggestions' page. They seem to have a lot of suggestions made by just one person, a few with more. I wondered if we hit it with a few dozen for Majors and Minors whether we might stand a chance ?

Serious Adam. He's really into every moment, no matter what he does.

Adam is almost certainly not investing any money in the album because he has the EP credit. But I am pretty sure he is investing a lot of extra work, effort and stress. That's not what I keep seeing posted at other boards: Music executive producer jobs are like series producer jobs in that they usually emphasize the creative side rather than strictly the business aspects of production. More like a film director than a film producer, the music executive producer often directs the creative elements of a production. The executive producer of an album or other musical production is usually not hired by a studio, but owns the recording label outright and therefore takes responsibility for all aspects of the production including financing the project. www.wisegeek.com/what-are-the-different-executive-producer-jobs.htmI've seen several articles linked on different sites, so I assumed that Adam invested some of his own money. ?? I'm not really sure what it all means right now, none of us are 100% sure exactly what the job description is for Adam...but I know it is pretty damn AMAZING! There is no one definition of Executive Producer. People are posting definitions out of context. The above quote is a perfect example -- the next sentence is, "The executive producer job description is so varied there may be exceptions within any of the above industries." In other words it is a title that can mean many things. So I listened to Adam's description....... “I’m considered the Executive Producer of the album. I worked with my label on that. And they’re very excited as am I about that opportunity. I’m really involved with it. I’m involved in the imaging, the production, the writing – even on a couple of songs I did not write, I definitely have input.”
“It’s not about the control itself. ….I’m not getting off on the controlling the situation. I think what it is about making sure that it’s coming from me. I owe this to my fans that. They’re so supportive and loyal, that I really want to deliver right to them an album that is coming right from me. Not a manufactured thing. …. It’s coming right from me.”This is why I am so excited -- Adam has creative control of the entire album project. Sounds just like what Kelly got on "My December". For indie albums, Exec Producers credit almost always means that you invested. Major Labels are different. At RCA it means you have control of the project. ______________________________________ No one posting on any boards has any knowledge of Adam's financial arrangement with 19 Recordings and RCA. BUT there is NO chance Adam put money into the deal to buy control. He earned control by demonstrating he can manage the creative process and by having strong sales on his first album. Every time something good happens for Adam, you will find people posting things to diminish it. And often it is the exact same posters. It is actually entertaining to watch this one because there is no way to make this negative. -- Adam is just getting the title but not really doing anything; -- Adam bought the title. -- RCA only did it so he could get the Grammy. (We actually do not know what Adam's credit will be and if he will be listed as a Producer although I expect he will get credit, he said "considered".) -- Adam had to invest a lot of his money in the album and is taking a huge risk. I am really worried for him. (Seriously, anyone who followed GNT knows that Adam can manage money and talent. And if he bought a greater share of future royalties with some of his own money or by foregoing part/all of his advance, then God bless him, he is sharper and smarter than even I imagined.) I can understand why someone may not like Adam, but I am constantly amazed by how much effort goes into trying to tear Adam down.

After watching the extended clips, I am even more impressed with Adam. He gave such good critiques. Reihmer is right... I also want a Tickle me Adam doll that gives critiques! And his advice to Oliver.... how great was that? Whoever said that Oliver just needs a trip to burning man, I'm sure Adam would agree with you. Everyone on that show was hearteye-ing at Adam.
