Just a wild speculation, but maybe someone remembered this mentoring session and wanted to hear Adam sing the whole song rather than just a couple of seconds. youtu.be/DnEI9Rj35tgThat was such a weird year, everyone so lacking in charisma and the judging panel missing a cheerleader like Paula. But looking back and watching it I though Aaron did a really good job. I wish Adam had looked more enthusiastic at the end because the audience liked it. Such downer comments from the judging panel. Adam's year really did break the show for a while. |

Whew! I'm exhausted from all this heavy discussion! LOL! Bottom line for me:
Brian and Roger respect Adam and Rami for different reasons. Enough respect to go around. They're all grown-ups, for Pete's sake. Fan jealousy is pretty junior high, but it's also human nature.
I agree that Adam might have been given Blue Suede Shoes because he CAN do it justice.
Adam fans and Queen fans have become pretty intertwined, IMO. Adam's role in Queen's return to world-wide arenas is undeniable. Just ask Brian and Roger.
Fan support and loyalty to their favorites will not be swayed by arguments and name-calling and hate-mongering. It might feel good to do it, but it won't change anyone's mind.
Adam is one of the best male vocalists alive.

So, when someone mentions this performance, it should be mandatory to post the video 😍 youtu.be/BhjixkuKYVoIt was shockingly good, and it somewhat "cemented" his rocker image (even though I think he pulled off ballads equally well). (Following all these Idol stunners and still glowing from the Idol tour, I had a big WTF moment when I heard FYE on the radio for the first time. I was thoroughly confused.) |

Under another post (with an ad for Kerry Ellis in Japan), he answered a fan-question: When will you come to Australia again? Brian answered, that they were actually discussing that yesterday. And that they had the Aussies very much in mind. It sounds, as if they were discussing, where to tour next. |
