Wasn't it Maroon Five last year delivering an utterly forgettable show? The group I was watching with tonight could only remember Gaga. I've been re-using and re-filling the same "disposable" water bottle for six months. It fits in my car door so I can hydrate while driving, comes with me to choir rehearsals and meetings, gets refilled, and back into the door. But, I guess, if you spotted me with my faithful water bottle, you would make some assumptions about my care for the planet. Be careful about refilling disposable (plastic) Bottles left in the car. They can cause fires and carry bacteria. Today's halftime show was not to everyone's taste but it may be the model for future shows. Good subtle note about "kids in cages" from two high power Latina artists. All I saw was crotch shots, cages flew right over my head. But yes they can at least sing whereas the guys not so much. Demi doing the anthem was good. Hubby thought she looked latina too. Hard to recognize her.

When I first saw the picture, my take was--he was using his shell jacket to protect his back/ neck/ shoulders from getting a sunburn! ☀️Lol 🔥☀️🔥 Yet another pair of sunglasses...cool rims around the bottom! I keep checking and trying to link into Edge Publicity website and it has not been available for several weeks now. I tried when it came out she was now Adam's management. I found information on that company, but not the Publicity business. Seems odd as Shosh is busy on Twitter and IG with her clients, and with her high profile clients it just seems odd the links listed are not active. Time will tell what's up. I think the website was listed in the QAL Rhapsody tour program that came out with this tour. Someone looked it up at the time just a couple of weeks ago. Said incorporated Nov 1 2019 principal owner Shoshana Marian Stone. Not sure if I have the middle name right. If anyone can find that might be able to see what it is.💖 Yes-- I posted the information regarding the new management company Shoshanna has set up. I may not have explained it well enough. I was trying to say it is odd that in Shosh's twitter and Instagram pages have her publicity website and even facebook links still listed but they not open to her previous websites. They should be deleted or changed. And there seems to be no website yet for her management company. One would think if her previous "publicity" company was switching names, a website would be active and not have weeks of lag time. I was merely making a comment as I was looking to see who Shoshanna had as clients. The Superbowl performance with two of her clients sparked my intetest to check.

I'm late to the plastic bottle discussion but it is a huge problem. Very little actually gets recycled as it is much cheaper to make new plastic. And plastic does not disintegrate -- just gets turned into smaller and smaller bits of microplastics. It would be nice if everyone, including Adam, got in the habit of using refillable bottles when there is access to potable water.

On a lighter note, I thought Q3 would point out today is 02022020 -- a palindrome. I remember she likes interesting dates. I also read today is the 33rd day with 333 days left in the year.

We are all responsible for our own conservation efforts, in our own homes. I pour filtered water into refillable bottles. Any other plastic containers get thrown in the recycling bin. Our California garbage trucks separately pick up trash, leaves & branches, and paper/glass/plastic recycling. Californians are hyper aware of recycling. Plastic water bottles are recyclable. I’m assuming any of those being used by the QAL crew are recycled in each country they play in. It may be in their rider that recycling is a must. Adam may use plastic bottles at home, or not, but I’m sure his recycling bin is full and picked up each week. Unfortunately, only 1% of stuff from recycling bins gets actually recycled. Most of it, after the sorting process, ends up in regular garbage anyways or gets shipped off to countries that take our trash. I used to think that if I recycle I am environmentally conscious, but it doesn't work that way. Best is to not use plastic at all. It starts at the grocery store. Reduce and reuse is the way to go. Sorry, I am reluctant to "preach" like this, and I am sure you are aware. This is not entirely true, and 1% is not true at all. You must abide by your area’s rules re recycling. In mine, we can’t recycle items with food stuck on it, like a pizza box, or a box that hasn’t been broken down. It’s best to remove the labels on cans and water bottles, etc. The list goes on. It’s up to us to recycle properly. None of us can judge Adam if we don’t know his habits on recycling. Plastic is not going away anytime soon, and glass breaks and has its own dangers. There isn’t an easy fix. No need to be sorry.

And that goes beyond my area. I learned about that in a recent exhibit in SF. Plastic is a real problem for our planet and only 1% gets recycled. Thanks for your contribution on this topic, happy . On a super positive note, I was thrilled when during the TOH tour I received as a VIP gift a reusable Adam Lambert water bottle, made of aluminum. I am sure others remember too. The cool looking, black one.

"home" like at home or in LA? I think it can never hurt to bring your own water bottle when traveling, as many hotels around the globe provide filtered water in dispensers. Besides, hardly ever does Adam travel to developing countries where he would have to worry. Okay, enough on this subject. This was just one example to make a point. Also they stay in upscale hotels. In all honesty i'm more than a little over the "everyone can do what they want" and surely not because i'm undemocratic. Are we really not going to care what other people do, no matter how disruptive and damaging their behaviour is to society because everyone is so fucking free to do what they want? To me it's a big part of what's wrong in the world. There is a fine line between being liberal and letting everyone do whatever the heck it is they want and simply not giving a damn about the people you share this planet with. #THEREISAIDIT You have to make it easy for people to do things and you have to understand when their circumstances are such that that thing is not where their best efforts lie and because you don't know their cirucumstances you can't judge them for choices that they may need, yes need, to make.

It's also a matter of how much effort one is willing to make and how easy one finds excuses. I was speaking in more general terms. And yes not everything looks as it seems. We reuse the same plastic bags to buy groceries since like forever. Ironically the developer of plastic bags had exactly that in mind, to reuse them. In a single use calculation platic beats paper and cotton. He wanted to save the planet, the guy would probably turn in his grave If He saw what has become of it. To round this of with a little knowledge in case anyone is interested. youtu.be/DQW5w9yAWgE

There isn’t an easy fix. No need to be sorry. How you need to recycle depends on how your recycling is processed -- and in the USA that is local.
Sorry for a longish, late post but I do research in this area -- and agree that it is best to avoid plastic and Starbucks. (Go somewhere where the coffee comes in a china cup.)
The other thing to do is to only recycle high-demand, clean items. So metal, uncoated paper, and clear water bottles are good; most food service non-food waste is trash.
Another great thing to do is buy merchandise that is made from recycled materials and packaged in materials made from recycled items. For example, Rothy's makes shoes that are 3D knitted (no waste) from plastic thread made from water bottles. And the entire business is built around sustainable consumption processes.
I have some researchers working on a research project to determine if it is better to trash or recycle a plastic food container in Tucson because of the water needed to wash out the container. (You cannot recycle a container with food still on it. But we do not have a lot of water here.) Many small cities in Arizona have stopped recycling programs because they don't make economic sense. Tucson (my hometown) still has residential recycling.
A lot of waste in the US is commercial recycling and higher quality than residential recycling. More of the same items and more volume (economies of scale).
But most US recycling does not end up in landfills, and most does not get shipped overseas as "trash." What does end up is landfills is about 22% of recycling which is food contaminated or not recyclable (mixed plastic, wrong type of plastic, mixed materials, and so on).
Everything changed in 2017 when China changed their policies. Tucson (my city) used to earn $1 million to $1.5 million a year from recycling. The funds were used to pay for the cost of bad recycling. Now, it costs the city $2 to $3.5 million dollars a year. So, they are working to IDing poor recyclers and then are taking away their blue bins and charge fines. It's working.
U.S. currently (2018) composts and recycles about about 36% of waste, and 12% of waste is incinerated and often converted to energy. We are down to 54% going to landfills -- including rejected recycling. The reuse of recycled materials varies a lot by location but Phoenix (Republic) processes recycling up to the very strict Chinese import standards.
Some forms of plastic are being banned -- country by country, and in the US locally. This will do a lot to help.
Disposable, non-biodegradable and non-compostable plastic will almost entirely be gone by 2030 -- except in health care and military uses. China's ban on disposable plastics, and disposable plastic manufacturing -- phased in from 2020 to 2025 -- pretty much did it.
All of the major food service and consumer package goods companies are aggressively working on getting rid of
