With all the shit stuff floating around these days, I'd rather Adam drink from a closed bottle than an open cup, IMO. Everybody has to make up their own mind on what they want to do, or how they want to do it. There is a lot to be done and more help is needed. But tbh it seems a waste of time to keep trying to make Adam change everything he is doing (flying, drinking or whatever) and taking frustrations out on him. There are so many others who have the ability to make major and big changes but they don't want to. I'm afraid Adam is not going to make it all go away if only he would cooperate and do as some want.

I respectfully agree with marionm on her comment regarding the "culture of discussion", and I do not mean to call out anybody in particular. This forum seems to be a melting pot of people from different backgrounds and demographics and clearly not everybody has the same comfort level when it comes to voicing and exchanging opinions, and that extends into sometimes bringing up sensitive subjects that don't necessarily make Adam shine in the most positive light. Here's the point that I am trying to make...does being a fan mean to not ever criticize him? For me, the answer is NO. To circle back to the environment, I think that someone who performed at a Global Citizens concert to raise awareness for climate change and saving the environment including the oceans, it is more than appropriate to avoid plastic water bottles and use reusable ones instead. I haven't seen Adam drink from one way plastic bottles lately, but it used to bother me during previous concerts, just as I can't overlook it when anybody else around me chooses convenience over making a difference. I even bring my reusable bottle when I travel, and I think everybody can do that.

Well, maybe at the next twitter party, somebody can ask him about his use of bottles, and his use of a private jet, and his big house, and his many, many clothes, etc etc etc.
I'll be interested in seeing what he answers.

Love this so much! Roger goes from all serious to smiling and laughing when Adam starts ad-libbing!

Good one!! I think there is a way to bring up subjects without being rude, and thus encourage someone to use his platform for another positive cause. Fingers crossed that I won't miss another twitter party

First of all, thanks for the explanations about Adam's photo with the jacket blowing across his back. Makes sense to me. It's really a very artistic photo, full of shapes and patterns and tones of color. Sometimes a photo that catches a momentary event is very eye-catching.
As to water bottles, cups, etc. Adam is aware of environmental issues as we all are. QAL has announced its official support of trying to diminish the use of plastic bags that are disposed of by the tons into the oceans. It's a worthy cause that needs to be addressed.
No one person can make a lot of difference. The trick is to have millions of people change their behavior. Then businesses and manufacturers will follow suit with changes in what materials we use. Plastic does it job way too well. It lasts and lasts and lasts and doesn't disintegrate. There is way too much of it and there is no good place to dispose of it.
We can each only do so much. I bring my own cloth bags to the grocery store. I try to use reusable containers for leftovers instead of plastic bags each time. Little things, but still.
Adam can only do his small part like the rest of us. I can't fault him for that. QAL can use their celebrity status to help spread the word.

Spent some time just now tweeting various people about having Queen + Adam Lambert do next year's Super Bowl halftime show here in Tampa. Now is the time! My DH just told me that he would be wayyy more excited about QAL at Super Bowl halftime than what we'll get today. After all, Adam can shake his ass too , and he sings better. Plus, we would get some truly iconic songs Okay now, I'll just check back in with twitter!! They have Latina stars at the halftime show in Miami, reflecting the culture there. Tampa doesn't have any big stars from this area that I know of, so there is an opening for QAL next SB I reason.

I would never expect Adam to bring a reusable water bottle to work, home sure, on the road no way. He's done a very good job of staying healthy, limiting partying, keeping quiet to rest his voice etc. I think some would be upset if he was careless enough to get sick from the water.
