the musicDisco Is Alive & We're Here For It: Adam Lambert's New Record Is Our Album Of The WeekThere's a tonne of new music released every Friday and wading through it to find your next favourite album is an almost impossible task. 'The Music' team get it and we're here to help, bringing you our Album Of The Week each Friday. Here's why Adam Lambert's 'Velvet' gets our pick. What we're saying... Adam Lambert's come a long way since his American Idol debut in 2009.
Of course, there was the fortuitous turn of events that would see Lambert go from auditioning with Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody to fronting the band just five years on.
While Lambert is still working with the much-loved group, it's now time for the release of his fourth solo studio album, Velvet.
The album is the first from Lambert in five years, since the release of 2015's The Original High which saw him hit #4 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
Lambert's not messing around when it comes to Velvet either; while Queen might see him take on classic rock hits, his solo work is all-out funk-infused pop bangers.
Lead single Roses is the perfect example of this, with Lambert reuniting with the legendary Nile Rodgers for the track after having collaborated, alongside Avicii, in 2013 for the track Lay Me Down.

Nope premieres here at 5pm EST. Let us know what you think! Isn’t that the same time than everywhere else? Worldwide release at the same time?
