popcrush.com/adam-lambert-better-than-i-know-myself-single-artwork/ADAM LAMBERT TWEETS ‘BETTER THAN I KNOW MYSELF’ SINGLE ARTWORKby: Amy Sciarretto 40 minutes ago Glamberts across the globe are no doubt psyched that their hero Adam Lambert has tweeted the cover artwork for his upcoming single, ‘Better Than I Know Myself.’ The shot of Lambert, with his gaze averted from the camera, is what you’d expect and what you might even term “vintage” Lambert. He’s cloaked in black, with his spiky, inky black coif and black eyeliner-rimmed eyes. All the Lambert signatures are in place. The image is certainly enough to get our pulses quickening for a new Lambert song. Lambert may not have won his season of ‘American Idol,’ but he certainly won our hearts. On a side note, with the expert hand with which Lambert applies eye kohl, he should become a MAC spokesmodel. He certainly makes “guy liner” in vogue. Lambert’s second album ‘Trespassing‘ is due out next year with a spring release date being eyed. In the meantime, you can expect Lambert to drop the single ‘Better Than I Know Myself’ some time in the near future.

Okay, you guys can jump all over me, but I am not enamored with the snippet- sounds too much like the demo. It also is reminicent of What do want from me - my least favorite song on the whole album. I truly was expecting something more peppier, in the dance vibe and am disappointed. Sorry, but I am not flailing as much as you, but I love the single's cover. I don't want him pidgeon wholed in the WWFM genre. I 3ant him to rock it out and dance it out. I think this is what they are going for. Although many of the fans did not like WWFM, it was a BB Top Ten song and is close to selling 2 million copies in the US. It was also the favorite of radio stations around the world. There is a reason that songs like FYE, IIHY or even Fever didn't do as well or catch on as well. Radio listeners like Adam in this lane and I say give it to them! Adam NEEDS a big hit to start off this album era! I'm not surprised the label went with the safe choice. They also want this album to do well.

Long ago and far away... I remember when snippets of FYE were released, and none of them really did justice to the whole songs. I say reserve judgement... Meanwhile, I'll listen to the snippet a *few* more times... sounds pretty darn good to me. You took the words right out of my mouth, Evergreen! The first time I heard snippets of FYE, I had no idea what was in store for me when I finally got to listen to the completed songs. The fact that this snippet starts with a heavily-produced chorus and then shifts into Adam up front and center dubstep gave me the chills. I'll wait and listen to the whole single before I totally faint, but holy smoley, hearing that voice again.. I wanna cry.. I think this single is going to be PERFECT for radio and will garner Adam lots of new fans. Sell, sell, sell... I hope it roars up the charts....so happy... If he chose that unbelievably smokin' pic for the single, I cannot wait to see what image graces #Trespassing. GAH>>> Happy Day! A release date, damn...no more ishes on this one. Step A...countdown to 12/20! BTIKM!!!

Use a good pair of headphones to listen to the snippet. It has a richer tone, more layering, and is more complex than WWFM (which, unfortunately, was not my fav). This has great potential.

I didn't like the demo, but I have listened to the snippet six times, and I am in love with it. I cannot wait for the real thing. I can sing that high note right along with him too. I am so excited for the 20th. He is his usual magnificent self. Just wait.

From that tiny little 30 sec clip can you hear any auto-tune. I've seen someone on another board b*tching they can hear it. ??? That person probably doesn't even know what autotune is! : NOpe, I am not hearing autotune on the clip. I can usually tell, because with autotune the attack on the beginning of the notes sounds .... hard to describe. Too precise? No nuance or warmth? LIve, most singers will bend a note a little at the beginning. Just a little yiny bit of a slur, or a tiny hesitation. Autotune "fixes" that but in so doing, it sounds less "human." Am I making sense? I hear Adam's attack on those notes, and it has an individuality it would not have with auto-tune,. IMO

BTIKM is a real ear worm. Can't get it out of my head. And, I agree with others, that, altho that snippet sounds similar to the demo, the voice is much richer and more powerful on the chorus. Celebratory, almost. The only down side I hear.... as I understand it, to be a huge hit, it has to be a song that everyone can sing along to. With that kind of range, who is gonna be able to sing along to it? Have you tried? Well, maybe people will just drop it down an octave to make it sing-able. Actually, I just tried to sing along with it, Cassie...since my glorious voice..ahem ..doesn't have Adam's range, I did drop it an octave and it is already ingrained in my cranial bliss matter. I don't think singing this song is going to be a problem for anyone. Reminds me of people singing along with Adam during GN..lol..all in the ear of the beholder, I guess.

Did you hear how clear his voice is--totally up front!!! That's all I wanted!! Actually I didn't like the demo but somehow, even if it sounds a lot like it, Adam has managed to work his magic and make it sound real! How many times in a row can I listen to this without being a complete wack-job? ' " his voice is--totally up front!! That's all I wanted!!" That is what i also wanted to say, but didn't find the right words in English. Love it!
