Personally, I really liked "One" and I think Leila has said it was her favorite from the show. I like the long version of "Crying" but I think it needs the long build up and the short version on the show didn't do it for me.

As a post-idol Adam fan I have a question: Is it true that Adam initially was supposed to sing "Come home" but then it got switched to "One" when TPTB realized Kris Allen had already been given "Apologize" to sing (Top 3)? ??? If so, do you have a source  I believe he switched it to Cryin as Come Home was his choice but when he realized Kris was singing a One Republic song he went with something else. Ryan Tedder tweeted about it around that time if I remember correctly. I don't have an issue with Ryan Tedder except all his songs tend to sound similar. The difference is always the vocalist behind the song. Adam is a brilliant vocalist and that's all that matters. |

He's in the behind the scenes video talking about how much he loves the "Don't ask don't tell just take what you need" lyric because it's subversive. |
