Wow I really love that video! It is seriously different than so many pop videos I've seen recently - it's smarter, deeper and more thought provoking without being totally WTF (as some of Gaga's I've seen). Also, gorgeous set and gorgeous Adam. I'm very, very happy with it. I want the universe to provide Adam many more opportunities to make music videos for my entertainment - putting it out there - universe make it happen!

Does light Adam toss that pomegranate to dark Adam? At first I thought light Adam had a ball, but now I think it's the pomegranate. Of course, then dark Adam does not receive the gift well! So more pomegranate interpretation..

Adam needs to be in pictures--and I don't mean pics, I mean in MOVIES.
I'm happy with music videos now--one thing at a time--but I seriously want to see him on the BIG screen before I die.

Ok, that comment he posted right before kind of gives a key to the video. Equal and opposite reactions. The harder one tries to be good and perfect and always do the right thing the more intensely one seems to self destruct. Think of all the public figures who have set themselves out to be "role-models" or who boast of righteousness and how many times these people end up having some horrible dark skeleton in the closet that eventually is exposed and destroys them. To me the message here is that being the "goody two shoes" is not the way to go. Embracing and owning your own darkness is what ultimately creates a healthy free human being. Both light and dark Adam are prisoners and only by joining together are they then free to explore the world. Very deep and I really should be in bed. I love your interpretation of this. It is too simplistic to think one is the good guy and one bad! They must come together to be whole. |

And great analogy on public figures. The truth is, all of us have SOME skeletons in the closet. And there's a dark side. Some have more dark than the others. Some let dark take over. Some try to suppress it. Both will lead to trouble. |
