Sparro contributed two songs, Broken English and Shady, the latter with musical icon and Chic founder Nile Rodgers. “I’ve always been really obsessed with Chic, and now we’ve collaborated on a song together. It’s a disco fantasy come true,” Sparro laughed. “We were in the studio together, Adam and I, and we came up with this bass line I thought Nile Rodgers would be great playing. So we just asked him on Twitter, and he said yes. “He seems to be really still living life to the fullest — he’s been battling cancer for the last couple of years but he’s still got such a great attitude.” It seems Sparro and Lambert have developed something of a musical bromance, undeterred by the fact that Lambert’s debut single famously took more than a few cues from Sparro’s own Black and Gold. “We have so much fun in the studio. We laugh a lot and we love thinking of clever ways to take things that are important to him and turning them into pop songs.“We’re part of a small group of out queer recording artists — there’s definitely a sense of camaraderie there, and a mutual appreciation for each other’s work.” |

Head To Toe: Adam Lambert Doesn’t Compromise Style On A Busy Day
“I put together this outfit because I thought, ‘OK, I want to be comfortable, I’m doing a lot of work today, going to a lot of different media things. I’m traveling around in a van,” Adam Lambert explained to us when he stopped by the VH1 offices recently. As he gets ready for the release of his sophomore album, Tresspassing, the star has become much more practical, style-wise, as compared to his glam-rock post-Idol days. But that doesn’t mean he’s not thinking about fashion. Scroll down to see the details of his media-day look (which, for any regular guy, would be just fine for a night on the town), and we’ll tell you what he’s wearing.
The jacket is from Juun.J, and Adam loves its broad shoulders and fun zippers. Underneath, he’s wearing an old Gucci T-shirt he thinks he’s washed too much. Those comfy-looking jeans are Diesels. Adam’s a big fan of shoe designer Rick Owens — in addition to these high-tops, he owns a pair of wedge heels from him. To match the mustached skull ring on his left hand, Adam is wearing an Alexander McQueen bird skull necklace — because even on a casual day, a guy’s got to keep it rock and roll.
