Randy Travis jailed for being drunk. Not exactly the same as being picked up for fighting with your boyfriend, drunk. But, come to think of it, being mumbling drunk outside a church is perhaps more fitting with the genre. And, somehow, much more sad. I don't know if there is so much a double standard in the coverage of these instances as it is a matter of what gets the most media hits. It's all about sensationalism. (The tabloid at the supermarket check out blazed about Kim Kardasian being deeply depressed and at rock bottom.... somehow it didn't provoke sympathy in me.)
As to Randy's reaction to Adam? I saw nothing disrespectful about it. Befuddled, definitely. Taken aback, for sure. Wouldn't expect anything else. Ryan was right to label it "antithetical." Randy did his best to be respectful of a musician whose musical taste was far different from his own. Just as Adam was when talking about SuBo. Adam had a right to his opinion; Randy had a right to his.
I was encouraged that my sister "kinda liked" BTIKM and the "natural" look, so I sent her a link to the Austria OOL and BTIKM. Stunning, touching performances in my mind. Her response: "He is good singer, but still not something I'd go crazy over." My own sister. Brought up in the same musical house as me. Sings in a choir. All she can say is "he's a good singer"??? That's like saying Michelangelo was a good painter. My point is that some people are never going to appreciate Adam as a singer, as a beautiful man, as a person. I have to tell myself it is no "diss" of Adam; it is a matter of personal preference and taste. I don't need to convert them, and I don't need to defend Adam.
I'll just go back to my iTunes library and play OOL and Dust In The Wind again. Ahhhhhhh. Heaven.

Had to log in on this one.. lol.. It's common on the other side that they will use every little information and used it against Adam and used to to the extreme.. like those two persons. Always.. and never failed. And if there's no information they can use, for instance MJ posted a very gorgeous picture of Adam. They will find away to put it down.. the make up .. the photoshop.. bla... bla.. bla... I find it quite amusing now... it's clearly the jealousy talking... and a lot of time Adam fans make fun of things before they started LOL Anyhew.. I feel sorry for Adam getting sick in Sweden. I hope they take good care of him. I bet Leila got on the phone with him ASAP wants to know what's going on. It was kind of funny, in a sad way. After Adam described Shady, he said he don't know how Middle America will take this. And someone highlighted this comment about Adam being a stalking predator, and said, "I guess we now have our answer." haha MJ deleted that post, but yeah, extremely prudish, and idiot. 1. Adam to sing with the legendary band Queen AGAIN 2. Adam is all over UK & Europe to promote his song and maybe going back for the Album 3. Next month Adam will be all over Asia & Australia and I hope he will also go to S. America & S. Africa. Is there any other Idol that's promoted Internationally as extensive as Adam when they release new album?? Green Giant Monster is an UGLY thing... it's ironically funny coz they used to call us Bitterberts... |

I guess I don't get why folks go repeatedly to MJs to see coverage about Adam. It is well known that there are going to be Adam bashers, trolls who do anything they can to find fault and even sin in who he is and what he does. I intentionally avoid sites and comments that trash Adam. The comments depress and infuriate me, raise my blood pressure, and ruin my mood. If there were a good reason to read such things --- if I could then stop them from being posted, stop Adam from seeing them, change the minds of these spewers of hatred, then, there might be a purpose in subjecting myself to the negativity. But, I can do none of those things.
I much prefer to share my love for Adam with like minded souls here at ATop.
