Somewhat Adam related through Brian May, but I'm just watching a show on Britbox called The Long Call, which includes Anita Dobson, Brian May's wife. I've never seen her in anything and it took me a minute to recognize her. She plays a cult leader's wife, so no makeup, very rustic clothing. But she's a beautiful lady, even without the makeup, and there's a kind of innate grace to her movements...it was really quite beautiful. I don't know how to describe it, but she's very elegant, even in a very simple, rustic role like this.
This is another show based on a Ann Cleeves novel, as are the shows Vera and Shetland. I wish there was a 2nd season of Long Call, but there are only 4 episodes. It's really good.

Well, DARN it! Of course, I meant Peacock and not Paramount. I got it mixed up. Sorry about that. I do get Peacock, too, so I'm good to go with watching that series. Sorry for the confusion!
I enjoyed those guys and their reaction to Closer To You. Adam does take people by surprise! A lot. These guys sure do know about Adam with Queen, and they know their George Michael, too. Nice to see how impressed they were Adam. I remember people joking about him "singing to a plant." LOL The COVID days were brutal.

I think Anita Dobson is beautiful. So elegant. I think Brian has that same quality. Kind of a subdued grace, a bit classy. I like that about him. They make a lovely couple. Anita certainly has had a long acting career that is still going strong.

Nice to see how impressed they were Adam. I remember people joking about him "singing to a plant." LOL The COVID days were brutal. I was bored the other night and I came across a short documentary on George Michael. It was so sad. I knew George's music and I remember the arrest that outed him and several other arrests. But didn't know how much he struggled with his sexuality, the sadness and drug use. It took a toll. But one good thing that was highlighted was how he moved from just a pop/dance artist to get some really meaningful songs and hits on the books. They really showed what a talented vocalist he was. I'm so glad Adam was out in the beginning and had a supportive family and the confidence to go for his career no matter who stood in his way. Still wish he had been able to get some of the great emotional songs he has written and performed, known by a wider audience and not just mainly his fans. Closer To You, Feel Something, There I said It, Underneath to name a few. Imo, those songs are right up there with GMs Careless Whisper, Father Figure and One More Try. And as moving as Believe and WWTLF and Girl Crush.

I used to have Peacock, I will investigate getting it again to watch this movie. I wonder why when Adam does something other than music (like this animation, or an interview) they rarely use present photos. He has many beautiful ones. The photo on this promo is 15 years old. It's not like there are no others available. In the past few years he has so many gorgeous photos, it just seems odd to me.

I was thinking the same thing. Why would they dig up that photo to advertise anything?
