It looks like from some of the pics we've seen that Adam gave a couple of short interviews at the beginning of the parade. Anyone know, or can we find out, station, if the station posts on youtube? I would love to hear them.

When I look at these videos I realize how much I liked Adam's look back in 2019, the year before the pandemic. Velvet is such a great album, I hope someday he will consider re-releasing it. Agree with everything you said. Loved his look and I thought Velvet was some of his best work. And the writing was wonderful and meaningful too. My favorites were Feel Something, Closer To You, Loverboy and Ready To Run but loved the entire album. The pandemic killed any success it may have had and it was released from Empire. They did not have great distribution even without the pandemic getting in the way. Wish he had done such great work like that on a major label. But I hope Adam did not view that as people/fans were uninterested in music with universal appeal from him. I think his new song and Mighty Real were fun and great for Pride and Mardi Gras but hope he will not just go for mainly a niche dance club audience for a whole album. He is just too good and talented for that. But if that is where his heart is, I'll have to wait for his next era. HA. I wonder if the rock oriented concept album for his musical is dead. Would be so happy if it is still a go. I couldn't tell if that Nova interview was old or current? If the musical is not a go, I hope the music is such that it would work as a standalone project. And maybe some of Velvet could be mixed in with it if he doesn't do a re-release of the whole album.

We’ll see about the remaining songs on the album and I will keep an open mind. I do like dance clubby songs to a certain degree, however “a soundtrack to my real life social scene” might be a vibe that I can’t identify with.

Haha, same here...never gone clubbing or dancing in my life. I'm more of a ballads kind of gal lol. But if it was more an album like FYE I'd be happy.

svca, I like all sorts of music, and I like to work out to dance club songs here and there, but I am not into the raunchy stuff. For me, Adam is the master of emotive ballads although he can pull off other genres as well. When it comes to his Mardi Gras performance, I am happy for him that he got to perform for his community.
