I always love to go back to the AI journey. I wonder if Simon had ever before told people to make sure they vote because a contestant earned the right based on their talent. Paula is not so bad in this one, I just always had the feeling she wanted to jump his bones (LOL). However, she was spot on, he is brilliant. She really saw his talent from the beginning and the things she said would happen did. He is an icon.

pi posted this video late yesterday. I love Closer To You so re-posted my reaction. Mar 8, 2024 22:01:38 GMT -5 pi said: Metal Vocalist First Time Reaction - Adam Lambert - Closer To You (Live Sessions) www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlKymF5FivAOkay. I seriously want to cry now. Why hasn't the world been allowed to hear this type of music from Adam on a massive scale? Why has this never been on any radio station? There is no one out there like him. Rock with Soul with a universal sound and appeal. The thought of this talent being pushed to the side and replaced by Pop and throw away dance music makes me SO sad. IDGI. I really hope that Adam does not give up on music that makes you feel something. No one does it better, imo. That was an amazing and emotional vocal masterpiece. I don't normally listen to these reaction videos but did this time cause it said the guy was metal. I wanted to hear what he had to say. So glad I did.

I get your frustration, Lurleene. Don't know how the music business works, or how radio works (don't listen to it), so I have no idea why Adam isn't included...but it sure would be interesting to find out one day...just from a business standpoint.
Poor guy, requesting more Adam suggestions lol...he's going to get flooded by Glamberts. Hope he's ready for that.

I keep telling myself to let it go and not to care because it is what it is. And a few times girldrummer has talked me off the ledge. HA. But after all these years, I just don't understand why Adam's great emotional songs with grit and meaning or some of his rock leaning songs are never heard by the masses. Most of the Pop/Dance/Club music sounds the same and is soon forgotten. But a vocalist of Adam's caliber and charisma comes along and no one gets to witness it unless he is fronting Queen or singing a cover song. And I love QAL and Queen's music is top level but Adam has some quality music as a solo artist but it is mostly only his fans who get to hear it. Even his more club/dance songs are not even played in the clubs on a large scale. Heck, Kelly Clarkson has more #1 Dance Club hits and she doesn't even perform with dancers. I guess they just like and worship her more.

Well, that meatal guy sure was impressed with Adam. (I couldn't quite catch his name when he said it, so I couldn't look him up.) Anyway, he recognized a great voice when he heard it. Apparently, no one mentioned to him that Adam is the frontman for Queen.
The workings of the music industry and who they reward with radio play, etc., is still a mystery to me. And even though plenty of very talented artists get plenty of exposure, it isn't always about a great voice or even a great song. Lord knows there are chart toppers that feature neither. It's things that I just can't fathom. I do enjoy most of these "reaction" videos, esp. the ones where the listener is hearing Adam for the first time. Makes me feel validated in a way, that I picked a great one to follow.
