That pic with the 2 girls with Adam...it's kind of dark, but the girl on the right looks like the actress on NCIS Sydney. It's probably not, but man, she sure looks like her.

Wow Wow Wow, "That talk-to-me" video Adam just did really hits home with what we talk about a lot right here. We all want him to be very successful. He wants to be very successful. We debate a lot about what genre he should be in. Apparently, he's been thinking about the same things. He wants successful but also maintain his integrity. So he's asking What we want from him. Musically, I assume. But that relates to everything else he does. How much does he change himself, if he wants to at all? How does he market himself? Is he driven to make gobs more money? Doesn't sound like it. He's doing fine. If he was at the top of the A list, he wouldn't even be asking his fans these questions. No need to. He gets so much respect from everyone for his talent. How does he broaden his fanbase? Get radio play? Get management and a label that gets his music played? Who knows?
I also think he is looking ahead to his post-Queen career.
He seems frustrated. He's a smart guy with a gentle soul. I think he will get some very interesting responses.

I feel his frustration...he just wants to do music. But fans' attention span is very, very short. They need the "connection" with their artist, whether a singer or an actor. They need to feel like they "know" the person beyond their craft. Otherwise they lose interest. I've seen this in a couple of my other fandoms.
I don't know if it's always been this way, but I'm pretty sure the birth of social media has a lot to do with that.

Adam should just do what he wants. If he wants to make music for his community, he should do that. But I'm sure he knows their support will mainly be for the divas and it is limited. Songs like Wet Dreams and Two Fux are fun and written with friends but were they meant for universal appeal or for a circle of acquaintances? He said he is known for his voice and that is true. And that is why many of us were attracted to him and what many want to hear. And he knows his voice brings him the most attention and the accolades. I love and get excited when he rocks and sings ballads with emotion and make you feel something. And of course QAL. Would love to see something other than Pop released and promoted for him. Pop radio play just seems out of reach and a dead end. But other types of music don't seem to be his passion so if dance music makes him happy, I will support him. I had told myself that I would not buy a single dance or disco song again because to me it seemed a waste of his great talent after the direction of Velvet. However, after seeing his frustration, I will buy them anyway. I wonder if he is still with a label and what do they expect of him to get their support.
It is such a difficult business. You are riding high one minute then you fall out of favor. LNX was winning Grammy's and being praised for having a country and rap hit. Then he appeared on BET and in videos dancing in mini skirts and making out with men. Many were cheering him on and his antics increased. But now it seems that rap nor country are interested. He had a meltdown when BET stopped nominating him for awards. And it does not seem he is getting great support from his community either. It is still all about Beyonce and Taylor. Not a LNX fan but it does make me a bit sad. I remember when Adam made that mistake at the AMA's and it could have ended his career, it was not his community that held him up, it was his fans. And thankfully, he is a very wealthy man now with many diverse opportunities.
