Adele cleaning up on Grammys reminds me of the year Norah Jones walked away with an armload herself. Haven't heard much about her for a while. Is she still singing and recording - anyone know? I'm so glad Adam attended the pre-grammy functions and Clive Davis' party. He's keeping himself out there and looking gorgeous as well. I hear Norah all the time on my adult album alternative station (or whatever the heck the format is called). She has a new album coming out this Mapril  and is touring this summer. Thanks! 8-) I remember that her first (I think) album sold 1,000,000 first week!  |

Very grateful to Q3, the mods and the community for continuing to bring the fabulous AFL to us. It's such a gift to have Atop to look forward to every single day. I used to refer to time away from Atop as being RL but now, I know the time I spend here IS real life. Without fail, Adam Lambert and Atop bring me joy, laughter and hope. Atop members also help widen my horizon - I learn so much here. Atop is indeed worth celebrating!!!I just logged in to say  |

With all due respect, but how in the world is RITD a good fit for URBAN radio? I'm sorry, don't see it. She only got played on every effin station under the sun because the song smashed and you couldn't escape it. If it wouldn't have been a hit no waaaay would urban radio play it. Or pop tbh. Adele got super lucky, because let's face it her album was AMAZING but there is A LOT of amazing material put out every year that never gets exposure because radio doesn't latch on to it. Adele is an example of a perfect storm and that doesn't happen often Adele sounds like a black woman on the radio. She appeals to EVERYONE, except young white males. When you cross over to every genre and age group and appeal to everyone from ages 8 to 80, you have a runaway train situation. People are buying 21 that haven't bought new music in twenty years. |

So since I don't see the M&G for B104 in the upcoming events I'm HOPING it's on Friday!?!?!?!
April - I was listening to B104 this morning and they are still not saying when or where it is! It's "Top Secret" lol. Did you hear the girl that won the first M&G had to identify IIHY played BACKWARDS??? BTW - I posted this in the Numbers thread but I have to squee/brag a bit here since there is some concern for CHR right now. Other than Sirius the 3 top CHR spinners are: Philly Allentown Lancaster ALL IN PA!!!!! A little proud right now. |

No confirmation that Adam is done and really does not matter. If it is done end of February (Adam said a couple of weeks to finish it) and on the album (as Adam indicates), the release date will not be March 20. Adam also said March-April for the release date. We may get a new release date or at least clarification while he is in NY-Philly doing promo. It has be be a question he is asked. I am going to guess that the April date is probably correct. What was it, April 3rd? Lots of discussion on Twitter about an April date and I think the consensus was that moving it to after Madonna's release is a very good thing. If he released March 20th, it would have been the week before Madonna and all her PR would have been everywhere. Hopefully, by April 3rd or even April 10th, her hype will have died down. That being said, I am not expecting Adam to get #1 either way. Adele isn't going anywhere and Madonna will probably be at #1 for a few weeks. But also, I'd prefer great numbers and sustained sales with a great #2 single, over a #1 spot any day!! Yikes! Nicki Minaj moved her date to April 3rd! I know she sucked last night and that Stupid Hoe song and video was a bust, but she sold a ton of cds last time. :( |
