DILAMBERT dianik_bg 6 'American Idol' Contestants Who Found Stardom After Being Eliminated 1. Adam Lambert inquisitr.com/6-american-idol-contestants-who-found-stardom-after-being-eliminated1. Adam LambertAdam Lambert made his television debut in January 2009 on American Idol season 8. He made it to the finals and won the hearts of judges and fans alike but sadly came in second, with Kris Allen winning the title. Subsequently, he inked a record deal with 19 Recordings/RCA and in November 2009, he released his first album, For Your Entertainment. With 198,000 copies sold in the U.S. in the first week, the album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 list, making it a commercial triumph for the budding singer. But Lambert's achievements didn't end there. He became Queen's frontman in 2011. In 2022, he started working on a concept album and theater show, according to Music Times.

I am still confused about China. I saw Adam's IG live, where he confirmed he is leaving for China on Monday and will be back just in time for Pride on May 31. But, I would think he would be some kind of judge or do a performance. Some of the tweets seem to indicate a contestant. I am wondering if this is just a translation issue? I just can't see Adam being a contestant. I am also wondering what he is doing for the rest of the time there, or maybe there is a week of doing this show......interesting. Soo many questions

Maybe I'm a bit late and this is not the topic of the day, but I have to say I just heard the new Vincint dance song "Another Lover" ft. Adam Lambert, and I absolutely love it! I always have a dance playlist on my phone & I often play it in my car or when I'm walking around (not into clubbing any more lol), and this is definitely going on that playlist. I have a feeling I will be listening to it on repeat for the next few days - I always do that with new Adam Lambert songs. I want to learn the lyrics, and I will be singing along to it (or trying to haha). Anyways, I just wanted to share my excitement over this song. It has the potential to be a great summer hit. (I know hits are determined by things I don't understand, but in my mind, this is a terrific dance hit) www.youtube.com/watch?v=734IgFr1avs

I hope the song does well for Vincint...it was nice of Adam to lend his voice in support of his friend. I liked Vincint when he did the competition show (can't remember which one he did lol), and there are a couple of videos of him singing with other people, but I didn't really like the music he put out on his own. Hopefully this will get him noticed.
Brian Justin Crum is another one that I really liked on the shows he competed on, but I haven't heard anything from him in quite a while. Loved, loved the songs he did with Matt Bloyd...they're voices are so beautiful together.
It's a tough business out there. As we've learned, just having a good or even great voice doesn't seem to magically catapult you into the music stratosphere.

I agree with all of you that say it is a tough business and takes more than a great voice. Big money behind you is generally the main way to push a song and career forward. I liked Vincent on The Four and thought he had a great voice as well. He went in a different direction than I would have expected but he is doing it his way. Would a label put a ton of money behind him to promote Pop/dance music? Or is he looking for recognition in his community? Whatever his goal, I hope he gets enough recognition to keep moving forward with his career. He is very talented.

I did like a couple of Vincint songs before this - Save Myself and Be Me - especially because of the lyrics and the whole queer empowerment theme. This song is on another level, though, and it has potential. I love how it is being described by some reviewers as expressing queer joy and similar. There really aren't that many songs like that! In fact, it's not even that easy to find great dance tracks that are all about joy, which sounds kinda funny, cause you'd think those two things go together... and while the dance beats may be happy as hell, the lyrics are often quite moody or sad or reflective. This song really feels so different. So, yeah, from that standpoint as well, I hope it gets some more notice because I like both the music and the lyrics and the fact that these are both openly queer artists.
