I would absolutely HAVE to find a way to get there....tho how I could afford a place to lay my head is another issue....any Glamberts in that area up for running an exclusive b'nb for a while?  ? lol eta....Adam is the most obvious person I can think of for that role.....just wow.... eta2...and he has a good idea of the limits he can push that role as Eddie just showed him how far he Can't go.... |

I'm not too surprised that Adam put out this type of EP and these songs. In an interview during Pride in London last year, he was singing the praises of Sylvester and was in awe of his success. He also said he was inspired to do something like that for his next project. I found that a bit odd as Sylvester was no where near as talented and successful as Adam, so why follow him down the old disco road? But I was afraid it was coming, lol. I vaguely remember Sylvester but hated disco so when Adam did "Mighty Real," that was the first time I failed to buy or stream his music. I understood the cover was for Pride so it was for a specific audience anyway. I will pass on this EP as well but glad he got to make the music he wanted to make, even if what might have worked at 20 seems a few steps backwards at 42. HA.
As for gay men being gay, not buying that adult men acting and dressing the way they think young girls/women act or dress is cute or a great representation of what it means to be gay (sometimes it comes across as mockery or disdain or a joke or insulting, imo). I get it is Pride month and everyone is having fun and wanting to be seen. But some seem a bit old and keep up the "act" outside of Pride month. It makes sense if you make a living as a drag queen or are transgender. Otherwise you come across as non-serious and playing dress-up and in a constant "Peter Pan" phase or just a good time. Yes I find it boring but Adam does not (at least not yet) and they are his community and he loves those drag queens. But I'm a fan of Adam and not of his crowd of younger friends. So I scroll and look forward to when he interacts with more mature, professional and accomplished people, who seem more interesting. But these surroundings seem right for this EP and for Pride. Hopefully, there will be other music more appealing and universal, to come from Adam.

I think Adam would be great as the MC in Cabaret! I haven’t seen this verified on other Broadway websites but they probably wouldn’t announce it till they get their Sally Bowles cast. Assuming Adam is not planning a Queens tour soon and his judge gigs are up for now the timing seems perfect. The contract for a Broadway show is generally 6 months.
