I don't think the silence has been quite this loud before though. There has been virtually no public comments or congrats on either side through a lot of important moves and events; Adam left the Wilde; Roger moved from across the street; Adam has put out a new EP; Brian has done a couple of public things; Queen selling off their music rated a comment; Adam headlined Pride; and now Birthday wishes. No public comment from anyone from Queen or the Taylor family [Adam was close to several of them]....I think there was one well wish or something from Roger's wife early on and as far as I have seen, nothing since. This is not how they have been since Adam joined them 2012/13. They have always made kind comments PUBLICKLY, until now. It is unusual....hopefully that is all it is...an unintentional blip.... Please do not 'change' my words or add meaning I did not give...it is clearly not the end of the world and ymmv Roger's wife has liked an insta post or 2 re Afters. But historically the Queen social media accounts and the Brian May social media account (the one run for him, not his persona account) post about Adam's solo music projects. I have seen nothing to date re anything from Afters. Maybe it means nothing. But I agree that the crickets are unusual. Having a Queen account post about Afters wouldn't benefit either party much. The cross over of fans of the two different sounds would be minimal and just like it's having an effect on many Glamberts the Queenies would be turning up their noses too. Let Adam make music for his boos, don't know why the rest of us have to care one way or the other. |
