Q3, date is 8.27 (wow, can't believe summer is almost over)
I haven't had a chance to watch any of the contestants (and I hate singing competition shows lol). Anybody I should be interested in that's actually good?

I have to say, I don't think it is really fair when a coach blocks others. What if that was the one the contestant wanted? Now, they have to pick someone else, or if it was an ultimate block, the coach actually picks the contestant.

There was one contestant who before his audition said he really wanted to work with LeAnn Rimes, and when she turned for him and said how much she wanted to work with him, she was blocked.

From the contestants point of view it’s really unfair. There they are, they have made it through the long audition process , they sing in front of the four coaches, then some (or all) chairs turn and then someone takes their choice away. I would hate that! On the other hand it‘s a way to spice things up a bit. But I prefer it the way, that The Voice here in Germany has been doing it: Here the coaches can only block the other coach, BEFORE that coach has decided to hit the buzzer. So as a coach, you have to think while the contestant is still singing, which coach might turn as well in order to block them. This way it’s a big, but immediate surprise to the coach, who turns and realizes, that they got blocked. But the viewers and the contestant had already been able to see it. I prefer that option, because the contestant (and the blocked) coach at least don’t have to get their hopes up, no pitching is necessary in that case. We also don’t have an ultimate block. That one is really unfair in my opinion. Imagine a coach, whom you don’t like, does this to you.

I've never watched a singing competition show other than Idol. And that was only for two seasons. i've never watched the others here in the US. I think the rules are meant to be a bit complicated just to keep people interested and on their toes. If it was too simple, it would be boring. These are entertainment shows after all.
From what we hear, Adam has really pumped up The Voice in Australia big time. His personality is so big and his humor and talent and knowledge give him tons of cred. I know we're only seeing the Adam bits here, and I'm sure the other judges are great, too, but Adam seems to be ruling the school on this show. And some of the contestant look very interesting and out of the mainstream, which is what Adam loves.

If you listen to Adam's critique's and the others, there is a world of difference. I wish Skye had chosen Adam, I could see that.
