More disappointing to me than signing a document was a band of Queen's caliber not addressing an abhorrent massacre at a music festival, the Supernova Music Festival (a peace festival) where over 260 young people were gang raped, slaughtered and kidnapped. Adam was so eloquent dedicating "Who Wants to Live Forever" to the victims of the Pulse Night Club shooting, yet I don't remember hearing Brian, Roger or Adam mentioning this at all when they performed on tour in Toronto three days later. Adam even performed in Israel 4 months earlier and with Queen's Brian and Roger in 2016 and 2018. Please correct me if I may have missed it. This is not a political statement and has nothing to do with taking sides but as an act of human kindness to victims and their families rather than acting as if something occurring like this at a music festival is of no consequence.

Wow...what a subject today. I'm not even going to pretend that I'm an expert of any sort on geopolitical issues, much less what is happening in Gaza and Israel. From what I've gathered, I will say this: It seems that there is barely any region on this planet with such a hyper complex history and this conflict wont be put to rest with a game of he-said-she-said, who did what. THANK YOU Lureene for saying that one can have empythy, sympathy and understanding for both sides. As with many discussions in todays society it becomes so black and white, yes and no, good or bad...life, reality luckily but also unfortunately is way more complicated than that. The difficult thing is that this gray space is emotionally uncomfortable compared to a this or that answer. I want to commend this board for staying so level headed on such a sensitive and loaded subject. Take care everyone! For german speakers: Here's the link to an episode of "Die Anstalt" a political sire show that does deep dives into topics and I find they did a very good and differentiated job here and this episode is nominated for a TV Award. www.zdf.de/comedy/die-anstalt/die-anstalt-vom-12-dezember-2023-100.html

I am absolutely sure that most normal people are still mourning for the Israeli victims of murder, rape, kidnapping of October 7.
But immediately, as the first hours, and days of the other horror happening to Palestinians started to be in display in front of our eyes after the attack, how can you not feel the urgency, the powerlessness, about this other tragedy that can be stopped by some? How?
I am sure we would be talking about those lovely children, women, teens, men, victimized on that concert day today but the images of the starving and dying children, women, teens, men in Palestine are right in front of us, right now.
Yet here we are, people in Israel wondering if they will take a plane to USA in the next few days to attend a Broadway play, probably after attending today to their beauty salon appointment, while kilometers away thousands of Palestinian mothers are wondering instead of where are they going to get food tomorrow for their children?

That‘s some heavy topic here today and I just want to add, that I don’t believe that Adam signed that list only because he FELT it’s right. Come on, Adam is half Jewish, he has talked about the incident and other things concerning Israel before. Of course he has leaned about the conflict. He never said much, but his Dad and Neil did on social media. He knows how complicated the whole conflict is. When Adam signed the list, then because he agrees with it. IMO.
Also I saw just now, that there are many thousands of people in Israel protesting, because they also want a ceasefire and to stop their own government.
