I love his quote at the end about shyness in the business. Did remind me of a performance I recently saw. Some people are better off just singing for themselves

From Huffington Post. It's on the front page. www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2012/02/21/brian-may-adam-lambert-queen-freddie-mercury_n_1290025.html?just_reloaded=1Brian May On Adam Lambert Performing With Queen? 'Freddie Would Have Approved'Queen rocker Brian May is adamant late legend Freddie Mercury would give singer Adam Lambert the "seal of approval" as the flamboyant star prepares to front the band at an upcoming festival.
The former American Idol contestant will perform in Mercury's place when Queen headline the Sonisphere festival in Knebworth over the summer.
And guitarist May insists the band's iconic star, who passed away in 1991, would be happy with their latest addition.

Premium Grandstand Reserved SeatingI just call the Sonisphere ticket office to try and find out exactly what we're getting for our £474.00 Premium Grandstand Reserved Seated tickets - besides a barbecue, free booze and private toilets. The gal I talked to was very nice and was scrambling around trying to find a map, but Sonisphere hadn't issued any yet. She assured me several times, however, that for a premium ticket we will be at the front. I told her that I had been looking at the 360° view camera and could see no grandstands anywhere. I also didn't think that people who had been standing pressed against the fence since 7am would appreciate being pushed back while a group of VIPs are herded in as abuse is heaped on their heads. ;D She laughed and said it wouldn't be like that and that we will have "Reserved Seated" tickets exactly as it says, very close to the front. She also said that the reserved seats are issued on a first-come first-serve basis and that because we are buying into the pre-sale ( the regular public cannot buy tickets until Thursday), those of us buying now would get the best seats. I'm going to call again near the end of the week because she said by that time they should have maps and be able to say more clearly just where that grand stand is located but it will definitely not be at the back - not for that kind of money she said!I'll post this in the concert thread as well because sometimes posts get lost in the shuffle here. Wow thank you for doing this. Makes me feel better about the three VIP tickets I bought today. I am thrilled that so many of us are going! gelly hit it on the head. For me, it works to buy the tickets first and figure everything out later. I can decide not to go. But I would never forgive myself if I didn't give myself the opportunity to make that decision. I feel like we're going to be part of something HUGE in Adam's life. What better reason to go than to attend a concert by a legendary band, fronted by a soon-to-be legend in the making? Hello world! I did the same thing. Didn't even know what was going on with the epic yesterday till I got home from work late. I just went ahead and got a ticket (VIP) because I just know I'd regret so much if I didn't. Will figure out all the travel details later. Have 4 months to do that! Did the same thing for Gridlock, the first Glamnation show, the last Glamnation show, and the Puyallup show. Can't break my streak now, right? Weeeee..... I miss the glamily so much. Can't wait for this!!

Still wondering about the VIP-tickets (Premium Grandstand Reserved Seating). In festival there are several stages, right? Adam + Queen is on Apollo stage. Does anyone know if these VIP-seats are next to this stage or how does it work?
