We all screamed our heads off asking for Cuckoo and Tresspassing. Adam made a mash up joke and gave us both. misssantaclarashell (our awesome videographer) and I and our friend got there at about 10, and were behind about five or six people. The Queen news was out, but we decided to ignore it. Saw Tommy and Adam get out of the car - Adam looking like a gorgeous, tall drink o' water. They both waved. We were bummed we all weren't going to get a hug. But we ended up in the front two rows about five or six feet from Adam.
Good God that man is gorgeous! Fun interview, and they were asking the crowd questions about Adam (that of course we all knew the answers to!). I swear I could not stop staring at those gorgeous eyes of his! And every time he looked at me (no really, he did I swear!) I thought I'd melt.
His voice was so pure. And Trespassing was AWESOME!! You could tell he felt the energy in the room (the video simply does not reflect that energy). So many moments - silly, sexy, defiant. Wow. I had a feeling he might sing that extra song - maybe it was because we channeled so much energy to him that he just had to give it back!
Anyway, what an amazing day. Can't wait to see the M&G pictures (eventhough I'm not in them).
OK, back to watch all the videos again!

What a day! It began at the Russian Consulate in SF; we were sitting in the sterile waiting room, hoping for our turn at the document window, and looking at the laptop - when I saw the news about Sonisphere. My heart just fell to my feet. I felt like a robot as I turned in our paperwork. It took two additional trips to FedEx and Kinkos, and two additional hours - to purchase a special return mail envelope and photocopy our passports (things that we didn't learn about from the visa website) before things finally fell into place. As I was doing all this, I wondered if it's all for naught. Then I reminded myself about my life's adventure for which Adam is the catalyst. Truly, there is a world out there - - and I intend on learning more about it; even it Adam is not part of the itinerary. If it's just me singing "We Will Rock You" in the metro of Moscow; or "Under Pressure" in the meadows of England . . . so be it.
Once all that angst was taken care of, we were off to the Infusion Lounge!!
The line snaked around the block! Once inside, we went downstairs into the darkened bar. Someone gave me a pink feather boa. I'll take it to my mom on Friday! DH found me a glass of wine, and, just inside, Adam was doing the sound check! Doors were super-insulated; virtually no music came my way. I commend 97.3 Alice Radio for keeping the 100+ of us happy with delicious hors d'oeuvres. Time passed quickly! Doors opened to a standing-room only venue. Very small and intimate. I stood behind three others, just to Adam's left. SOO close! He and Tommy came out to huge cheers. This group - mostly women - was happy, relaxed, and lively! As I recall, Adam was wearing black t-shirt, black jacket, a cool, thin tasseled scarf, dark pants. Couldn't really see the boots or shoes. Hair seemed dark all over, but drawn a little over his forehead in the most exquisite, informal way. He looked like Gorgeous.
He was so chatty! And, once again, kudos to Alice Radio - their DJs appreciated and respected the audience, and they asked cool questions and interjected with intelligent responses . . . and allowed Adam to talk!
Yes! They picked my question! It was "You are an Aquarian and you've grown up by the ocean and with a pool in your backyard. Are you a good swimmer? What's your favorite stroke?"
Being a swimmer myself, I thought Adam would jump all over this! I could see all sorts of snarky and elusive answers about 'crawl' and 'breaststroke' . . . but, instead, Adam answered intelligently and did not splash in the shallow end with me! (He just paddles around).
I loved it when he talked about Sauli. I loved it when he talked about yoga. He and Sauli had an instructor come to their house; afterwards, they both agreed yoga is not for them! Talked about 'juicing'; about getting 'fat' after GNL ended; about the beauty of Bora Bora; and said a little about the Sonisphere news. The little he said sounded encouraging. "Wait and see. I have to take the fifth right now, but there are things in the works" - - - or something to that effect; in my ever-optimistic mind.
Then he began to sing. A mini-concert; 8 feet in front of me. Pure, raw, passionate vocals. Every word is placed and served with perfect timing and nuance of sound and meaning. He becomes the music; and his joy in sharing what he has created felt like a revival!
I know that's why we got song #3 - Cuckoo!! He and we created the spin of the infinity symbol on his wrist. He gave and we gave right back. The man leaves me weak. I worship at the legs of the barstool on the stage when Adam is there to have a seat.
Adam promised that May 15 release is set in stone. They are working on the cover booklet, acknowledgements, etc. right now. Gosh. I wanted to remember absolutely everything he said - and everything he said was bright and colorful and honest. Maybe Didilynn or Yippee will have more to add! Wish I could have met Theosgma . . . to wish her a happy birthday! I'm sure this was a day she'll never forget!
BTW. Tommy was terrific on the guitar. He concentrates, for sure. He doesn't look at the audience and interact. So what - - he was in tune with Adam, and I was quite impressed with the emotion of his music.
Now, I just want Adam to finish this radio junket, get home and be domestic (he did not in any way look stressed or tired or unhappy . . . just FUCKING GORGEOUS!) and get ready for what is to come; whatever that may be.
I absolutely know, in my amateurish way, that Trespassing is gold, platinum; the diamond of many facets that will light a music world so in need of direction. Get ready. And hold on. YES!! I will never forget this birthday. It was miraculous. I am writing from SFO getting ready to do the red eye back to Miami.
It all started at Miami airport where I was greeted with the news that the weather in SF was so bad all day that our 8:15 PM flight would probably leave 3 - 4 hours late. At 8:45 came the announcement that Air Control lifted the hold and if we could board quickly, we had a priority landing time that would get us in only about 45 minutes late.
We hustled on board. I had an aisle seat on a completely full flight and it didn't look great for any sleep . As I settled in, a nice young man asked if I would switch with a friend so they could sit together. She has a window seat. I said sure and it turned out that in the full flight there were maybe two or three rows with a vacant middle seat and this row was one of them so I had a much more comfortable flight and we arrived before the last shuttle left for my hotel.
Had a great few hours sleep and woke up very fresh. Got to the venue and saved a place on line for Pi. She came along and we were greeted with the news about Sonisphere and were concerned Adam might be bummed and then the news that out of all the radio promos, there would be no meet and greet or pictures except for five people and their named companion to be drawn out of a very large bowl. I keep repeating to myself that I was there to hear that beloved voice in a small venue but to be honest, my heart was breaking. Pi said "it ain't over until its over".
We went inside and after waiting awhile (felt so like a GA GNT scene) we were let in. The first thing was the drawing. I guess they were compassionate about everyone's suspense. PI WON ONE OF THE FIVE SPOTS!!!!!!! CAN YOU F****G BELIEVE THAT??????? I felt the force was with us. She said she NEVER won anything before these tickets and this drawing. We were arguing whether I was riding on her karma or she on mine.
With the joy of knowing I would have my little space of time with him, everything was like super charged cloud nine bliss. He was so charming, articulate, funny and HAPPY. I really feel something is up re: Queen We got that same cute expression on his face as we had when he was asked before Sonisphere. I really hope so. Maybe USA???
His voice was sublime. We were supposed to get only two songs but he was so spectacular that we all went nuts especially with Trespassing. He couldn't help himself. He responded to us and gave us Cuckoo.
Because we were standing and he was sitting, we were asked to respect those behind and not hold up cell phones and obstruct views. Everyone was wonderful about that and I think Adam liked not having a sea of cell phones waving in his face. We were all very present with him.
Did I mention it was sheer bliss?
And then there was the M & G. I had some very particular things I wanted to say and he was wonderful about making that time for me. I felt completely fulfilled - seen, heard and taken seriously .
Spent the rest of a lovely afternoon with Pi after calling my husband who was so thrilled for me. He so wanted me to have a great 65th and as some of you know, it has been a rough go since August for us since his cancer/spinal cord surgery/near paralysis diagnosis. All of those things are resolving in a positive way and he wanted me to go celebrate for both of us since he couldn't quite take me out on the town. I love him so much and Adam's positive example has been a big help to me as well as a needed escape in hard times. Hubby has appreciated that as well and more than ever, gets why I am such a fan girl.
I am sure I will think of more but ..........THANK YOU ALL FOR ENCOURAGING ME TO GO!!!!!!!!!! ...........AND FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT AND COMMUNITY.

There were 100+ people there. It was pretty amazing to be so up close and personal with that voice!!! We were about 3 people back and the first row was so close to the stage that Adam said something about it. He seemed really relaxed and comfortable.
Jayn the dj who did the interview with him a while back and is a big fan said that she was supposed to be working at the station today, but no way in hell was she going to miss seeing Adam this time around. The first time he did his promo with Alice radio, she was away on vacation and missed it. It was funny, before he came out, the djs asked the audience all kinds of personal questions about Adam, like when was his birthday, what is Adam's mom's name, when is the album coming out, his bf's name, etc.. and everyone yelled out the answers, all except for the answer to one question.. how much does he weigh? The djs got a kick out of that, since we seemed to know more than the djs.. even information about the new album.
Jayn did ask him about singing with Queen.. I forgot how she phrased it, but I remember she mentioned only 1 gig. Adam made a pinched face expression, and said he couldn't talk about that because he had made a promise and that we'd have to wait and see.. sounded a bit cryptic to me.. hmm could they be working on getting some other gig?? When Jayn started mentioning Queen, everyone starting to make sounds like mmmm don't go there.. clearly we had Adam's back.
I think theosgma mentioned that the dj had announced beforehand that Adam would sing 2 songs, but we got 3!!! And no WWFM!! A testament to the enthusiastic and spirited response he got from us. I only saw a few cell phones out.. a person in the front row was filming, so a vid may be up soon, if not already. We were definitely bebopping to the music.
Adam's voice was clear and powerful.. really just sublime! Oh Jayn asked him if he had to warm up to sing, and he said that for longer gigs he usually warmed up, but for a few songs, he didn't always feel the need to do it, like today. Tommy sounded great on the guitar.. really enjoying his playing lately.
When he introduced Tommy, Tommy didn't say anything or you couldn't hear him because he wasn't miked, but Adam jokingly said that Tommy doesn't speak, then put his hand behind Tommy's neck as if he was the puppeteer and said, "good Tommy".
He really looked fabulous and very natural on stage, but when we had our meet and greet, I could see that he had quite a bit of makeup on, both face and eyes, which surprised me because you couldn't really tell when he was singing just a few feet away.
There were too many people there to all get m&g, but as theosgma mentioned, I won one in a drawing.. total shock! I remember going up to him and looking at his face, and being really surprised at the amount of makeup that he had on, and feeling like his eye makeup obscured his naturally beautiful eyes. Then I babbled on about Vitamix.. yes you heard it right.. Vitamix! What was I thinking??!! Not hell of a lot as it turned out! I remember saying something like, "hey Adam, I know you're really into juicing, so you might want to check out Vitamix.. it's really great... " I think he said he was really attached to some brand of juicer or something. Between theosgma and me, I think we chatted with him longer than the allotted time.. so I forgot to say "thank you" and all the great things that would have been nice for me to say... sigh.
It was a wonderful day.. even the weather cooperated. Last night it was stormy, windy and rainy, and today it was like spring had sprung with sun and blue skies.
The Universe conspired and the stars aligned to make this a wonderful birthday for theosgma!
ETA Just remembered another tidbit.. Jayn asked him if he knew what was going around the internet.. I thought it was his acoustic performance of NCOE, but she said it was the snippet of Adam singing Katie Perry's song. He laughed and said he had seen that.
Also, Trespassing was brought up by one of the djs and Adam jokingly said to everyone, "go buy 10 and give it away to your friends" or something like that. I remember thinking it was great that he was promoting himself more.

I totally wanted the girls to see him and I totally couldn't talk or change my gaze.
The DJs collected questions and they read mine! It was, "Glamberts are clearly a force for good in the universe, we vote, donate, request, and shop until our fingers bleed and our credit cards scream. Is there anything else that we haven't thought of that we can do for you?"
I'm wondering if anyone has seen video of Adam answering? At the end of the "Glamberts are clearly a force for good in the universe" part, the DJ paused and Adam had a really sweet reaction that I know you guys would love.
His answer was, "buy the album" the crowd responded with "we did" and he said buy 10 albums for your friends and the response was "we already did." It was awesome!
Tommy was great. I was looking at him and he "caught me" and smiled shyly. At one point they tried to give him a microphone and he declined. I know that he looks sort of bored on the videos, but in person it really feels like he is fully present in support of ADAM and just doesn't look for any attention.
One thing that I never noticed before is how expressive Adam's eyes are. Seriously amazing. I hope someone will do a close up video so that everyone can see it. He conveys so much with his eyes and you need to be SO close to see that.
I got the sense that he really got a kick out of how much fun we had singing Cuckoo with him.
The joke about the Cuckoo / Trespassing mashup is funny. I hope someone got it on video because I can't remember exactly what he said. It was right before he sang the 2nd song and he asked us which one we wanted. The crowd was screaming and it sounded like "tressooo" or "cuckassing" or something like that. Adam said what he heard and it was really funny. We, as you know, got both songs.
My friend that attended with me wasn't a Glambert and now she really "gets" the whole attraction. She LOVED trespassing.

Just back from meeting Adam. I'm not great with descriptions etc, but I'll try. It was a very small group, maybe only 20 people? They wouldn't let anyone else in, so my friend from Seattle had to wait outside, but it actually turned out ok for her. Tell you about the later. And I will be posting the videos shortly.
He was wearing those light gray/green pants, the green leather jacket, black shirt which I think had a skull on it, and his hat. He was heading to the airport afterwards, and said he was really tired:( .
I was in the front row!! He was 8 feet in front of me. Started off with questions and all of my questions were asked, lol. I don't even remember what I asked. I asked him the question about if he sees lights in his head when he sings, (someone here wanted to know about that). He said, no, lol. He said maybe only when the lights hit off of the glitter on his eyes he'll see some lights in his head when he sings. I asked him if Sauli ever sings to him and he said, yes, sometimes. And he said they have some private songs that they sing to each other, but he wouldn't say what they were. Someone asked if he ever skinny dipped or streaked. He said he's sure he streaked before, I think he said no skinny dipping. He talked about food, his family. He said that Sonisphere was cancelled and he was sad about that but that they will try to do something else in the future. I asked him if they might do something in July, somewhere else in England and I think he said he wasn't sure, but maybe. She ask him my questions also about his worst habits (he said food), any pet peeves (he said he didn't like ignorant people and people that claim they know facts but really dont.)
The DJ asked him who would take longer if they both got out of the shower together, lol. His answer was funny. I have it on video. He said him, he needs more help getting ready than her:) After the first round of questions he said he was going to move closer to us, because he felt too far away and then he had the guys turn off the mike. So he sang BTIKM and WWFM without the mike, it was GREAT and right in front of me!! He looked at everyone in the room:)
Then more questions, someone asked him about the songwriting process, they talked about his biggest supporter and he said mom and dad, and started talking about the music etc. that he listened to when he was a kid, (his dads stuff), he talked about how excited his dad got when Adam discovered all the rock stuff. Then the DJ asked him about the Sonisphere and he was sad and said it got cancelledL:( He said he was bummed about it but also said that maybe later he and Queen will get together and do something else. I asked him if they were looking to do something in July at like another venue and he said that'd be cool. Then I asked him if they'd ever cancelled Sonisphere before but he didn't know.
Then the DJ asked him what kind of music he likes to listen to he talked about he really was into pop, MJ and Madonna. He talked about about his last album being over the top and then about this new album being more funky. The DJ asked him when it's coming out and he said May 16th!! He corrected himself really quickly, lol and we all corrected him too!
After the the DJ asked him about the Bruno Mars song and he said YEA, we're gonna sing it now. But then he was talking to Tommy and bit and they didn't sing it, he sang WWFM instead. Before he sang it though, he started talking about birds and doing a bird medly lol. No clue why he started talking about birds, lol, it was funny. After that he sang WWFM acoustic, it was awesome!
After that, more talking. The DJ was gonna wrap things up but Adam wanted us to ask him more questions, lol.Someone asked him about cooking, he talked about going to Trader Joes and getting precooked meals, someone asked him his favorite lyric that he wrote and he said, "before you break you have to shed your armour, take a trip and fall into the glitter", then the kid told Adam that his favorite lyric was, "you're soul will be ok" and Adam said, awwww, wish I had written that one, lol and everyone laughed.someone asked him how his finnish was and he said not very good, then he said a long line in finnish and we asked him what he said, and he said "I just cursed" LMAO!! HE said it's a hard language and then he talked about meeting Madonna. My friend then asked him about improve and if he does it on the fly or if he practises it, he said its mainly on the fly, some is rehearsed and some he screws up, lol. Someone asked him if he'll ever sing Can't let you go, but he said he's into the new album is over the old album, said it's a hard song to sing. Someone asked him if he ever went to Coachella and he has but he hated the big crowd. He talked about some of his favorite bands, Muse, Casabian, Semi Precious Weapons. That was about it.
Then we did INDIVIDUAL photos!!! OMG!!!! I was third to go up, I shook his hand, told him it was so nice to finally meet him. I put my arm around his waist, and I think he had his arm around me. All of of sudden he started laughing and bent over (taking me with him, EEEEEEEEEEEE!!), lol. Don't know what happened. All I know is that I got a little extra time with my arm around him and his around me. Then they took the picture, I don't even remember if I smiled, lol. Then before I left, I asked him for a hug and held my arms open and he bent right down and gave me a hug!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! LOL!
Then we went downstairs to find my friend from Seattle who wasn't able to come in. And she told us that after the group had all gone inside, that Adam came and she was able to say hi and talk to him quickly and he promised to come back out afterwards!!
Sooooooooooo, he DID come out with Tommy and some lady (not the short mean lady with the short hair,but another nicer lady) and we got to shoot the shit with Adam and Tommy for like TEN FRICKEN MINUTES!!!! OMGGGGG!!! So I was talking with Tommy and asked him if he had eaten. He said no,and I told him he couldv'e gottena burrito up there coz they fed us Una Mas. I didn't eat anything though, lol, didn't want to smell like onions next to Adam. I had two pics of Tommy that I had taken myself and blown up and I had him sign those. He loved them. He was very talkative and smiley. When I met him in Sacramento on tuesday he seemed depressed and sad that day. I think he thought it was cool that I had something for him to sign and was talking with him.THEN, I went over to Adam, lol. I had a picture from Nokia in LA that I had taken and blown up. He signed that for me and told me that his hair was HORRIBLE that day, lol. He was sooooooo sweet and nice. We were so lucky coz if the mean lady had been with him, there is no way she would've let him hang around with us like that.
After that, he left and went straight to the San Jose airport to fly home to his love:)
That's my story girls/guys. It's been a GREAT day, a GREAT week. I finally got to meet Adam and get a hug and talked to him a LOT!!!! I'm just on cloud 9 right now, haven't come down yet.
I posted some pics on FB. I'm going to work on the videos right now. I'm so appreciative of the fact I was able to meet Adam and see him perform twice up close like that. And to actually talk to him and shoot the shit! Who would've thought!!

And he gets the capital of Denmark right! I don't know if it quite makes up for the Scotland/Ireland thing, but it's impressive as we are such a small country and we're not used to people knowing a lot about us
