Re the NME article, eh. From what I hear, this is par for the course for them. They've not been Queen fans in the past, and nothing has changed, at least for that writer. I think making controversial statements is part of their MO, thus the guitar = machine comment.
It'll be interesting to see what the actual interview with Adam will be like.

I think it would upset me a bit if The Rolling Stones replaced Mick Jagger and still called themselves the Rolling Stones. Jagger as a singer for the Stones IS irreplacable. I can identify a bit with hard core queen fans when they view the whole adam thing as a type of sacrilege. That being said though it is a shame to let great music by original band members go unplayed and unheard, especially if the musicians want to continue to play and fans want to hear.
and i believe there would be quite a few beatles fans excited to see paul and ringo play together and recreate the music even if that olly murs was singing, (or was that another underhanded slam) don't know much about mr murs.
