He's not the one that took the interview with Adam. This one is quoting pieces from the original NME interview we saw on line and he's trying to prove a point why frontmen shouldn't be replaced.  Thanks to post this scanning page gelly. I guess NME is trying to be fair. Yes they let one of his journalist to wrote his opinion about Queen & Adam, and since he was talking mostly about the new frontman which is Adam; they also put Adam's opinion on the side. So readers can see from both sides. I'm so glad of that. Open minded readers would think it's only one person opinion and they will want to know who this new singer is and plus they got assurance from Adam that he's not trying to be the next Freddie. Maybe they will start browsing internet or browsing channel hoping to find the EMA's re-run again and want to see Adam perform it LIVE... etc.. etc.. etc.. and off course we know what happened when people hear Adam's voice in the concert  ;D PS: Talking about Adam & Queen, at lunch time on Friday as always I had lunch with a co-worker at our break room in the office. Then off course other co-workers came in to get their food from the fridge and warm it and so did my boss. So I was joking and told my boss and my friend (co-worker) and I will go to Moscow to see Queen concert. People were like, how they're going to have a concert without Freddie.. LOL. I guess they've never heard of Paul Rodgers. I've been talking about Adam & Queen to my co-worker, sooo... she said they have a new singer, Adam Lambert... then people were like (including my boss) ... "Ohhh..... yes Adam Lambert can do the job" .. I was so happy and surprised that my boss actually knows Adam Lambert and also knows that he has the voice to do the job .. ;D ;D ;D |

This Hamish fellow makes it clear he knows next to nothing about Adam. Adam is so very different in terms of presence on stage and other public lenses than Freddy. Freddy was a great singer and flamboyant - but he wasnt sexy or charming. These two singers have a completely different vibe. Freddy wasnt gorgeous looking either. And his voice was a strong strong and edgy voice. That was really cool. On the other hand, it didnt have the tenderness or layers or translucence that Adam's voice has. Their voices have completely different frequencies. They are so very different. This Hamish guy is superficial, ideological. What a bore. And a boor. I agree. One thing my son, who loves Freddie's voice, told me he admired about the EMA performance was that Adam didn't try to imitate Freddie. It seems obvious to me that the two are very different singers. What they have in common is that they are gay (so what) and have amazing stage presence when performing. Oh, and that both uniquely gifted vocalists. |
