Not only is he about to release his second album, Lambert has been invited to sing with legendary rock band Queen, stepping into the bejeweled lead singer shoes once filled by the man many consider to be the first glam-rocker and certainly one of the most influential musicians in history, Freddie Mercury. Lambert will join original Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor in a July 7th concert at Knebworth Park in London, where the band will belt out a few choice numbers for audiences of the U.K. Rock festival Sonisphere. Lambert, who like Freddie Mercury, is openly gay, says it is a huge honor to be singing for the band, adding that he feels he will be “paying tribute” and trying to add some “flair.” The similarities between the two rockers are hard to overlook. Not only do they both sport powerful, soulful voices, they are both given to flamboyant fashion ensembles, including glitter, eyeliner, leather, and a diversity of styles, fabrics, and textures. One of Lambert’s trademarks is his stylistic glam-rock flair that combines elements of the glittery, the gothic, and the regal. Lambert has run the gamut of styles since his explosion onto the scene on American Idol. Here are just a few of his diverse fashion appearances: Who knows what ensemble Lambert will wear when he performs with Queen. You can make a solid bet that it will match the theatrical style of the band that arguably created glam rock. Some fans say Adam Lambert is the 21st century Freddie Mercury, missing only the band to back him up. At least until now. The original members of Queen agree that Lambert is the perfect fill-in for Mercury, and they would know—they’ve collaborated with Lambert twice before, once at the MTV European Music Awards. MORE..

Have fun! ============== Q3, just wanted to let you know that I did make a translation of that German video, so we have a bit more than a google translation on page 1. It just ended up on the last page of yesterday's thread, so you may have missed it. I think all other stuff from Germany was meanwhile translated elsewhere, so I think we are up to date. Otherwise, I am dropping this link just for my fellow German speaking folks for a quick WTF moment and a good laugh. Just good to know that automatic translators are not quite ready to substitute for the human mind. Could somebody just check, whether you get the same? Thanks. A few days ago, I also could not vote, but then that problem went magically away and only his picture was missing. Now he has this huge picture, but it does not let you vote. So, is it just me, or others having that too? Thanks |

I guess Buckhead is an entire area of Atlanta so many things have that named attached. Is that right? I think it is an area in Atlanta. The description of the place for tonight's concert is 'W Bucket Buckhead and Market". Google gave me a hotel named "W" with a restaurant named "Market" in Buckhead, so I went with that for pics. |

Misha and I are front row and will be right in front of Adsm. Waiting...... That is beyond awesome; I wouldn't even be aware of anyone else in the room if I was that close. LOL Come to think of it, I was REALLY close to the stage at the Vegas concert and that's pretty much how I was. Didn't talk to a soul except when Adam went offstage to change costumes. |

OMG I've lost track of where Adam is, where Adam's going to be, who's won M&G passes, who hasn't, and who's still hoping!! Happy for everyone who's met him, who's going to meet him....and crossing my fingers for those still trying! WOW....this is some SERIOUS radio promo! Yay!! ! I got tickets for Adam in Portland (where I live) My name is Adele and I am English and they made a huge deal of this and had me do a call in line saying "this is Adele 95.5 Modern Mix" They played our whole conversation on air and then later played my call in line followed by the Adele song!!! I may not recover from the excitement ! My next thought was what shall I wear to see Adam!!! CONGRATULATIONS abriton.....How exciting for you. Have an amazing time.... ..so wish he would consider Western Canada....sigh...  Thanks Mszue - I am sure he will be in Vancouver again soon |
